I watched the trilogy "Undead", "Split" and "Mr. Glass" in one go.
In fact, these brain-burning movies have a characteristic, the last 10 minutes are the most exciting.
The first half of "The Undead" is bland, all the while describing the self-awakening of a "superman" and a paranoid "smart ghost" constantly proving himself right. Until the end, "Superman" finally accepted himself from the heart, he was "seen" and "recognized" by himself, and his heart was bright.
"Split" is actually a very interesting story. I am more attracted by Yimei's superb acting skills, as well as the beauty and figure of the heroine, but the plot is still thrilling, and it is also about a person's self-recognition and awakening. He finally summoned the "beast" in his faith, the 24th personality, which is also the self-realization of the first 23 personalities.
"Mr. Glass" is the crowning touch of the series. A strategist, a decent, and a villain form a solid triangular structure, which is actually a story that is eager to be seen. The biggest bose in the play, the so-called "Clover" organization, has been convincing the three protagonists that their own perceptions of themselves are wrong. Many people believe that they have superpowers, but they are actually lying to themselves. However, under the leadership of Mr. Glass, the three of them broke their doubts and finally admitted themselves, got to know themselves, and saw themselves. Especially the last turning point, it can be said to be very exciting. Not only did he see himself, but he also let the world see himself. Being recognized by the world is also the ultimate goal of Mr. Glass.
The three movies must be watched together. In fact, if you watch them alone, there will be some confusion. However, at the end, I will still marvel at the director's genius. Mr. Glass's courage and wisdom are also impressive, and the word "villain" is no longer suitable for him. It's all about "being seen".
