Alexander's weak character is portrayed quite well. I don't really believe that historically he was like that, but as a movie, it's convincing enough. The director seems to have deliberately created this side. Perhaps the invincible god of war on the battlefield is not as friendly as the side of ordinary people.
The parts of the film don't fit together very well, more like a string of pearls tied with thread - if not worse. However, there is no way to do this. Although God of War's life is short, there are too many brilliant moments. The 168-minute film is already quite long, but it still cannot accommodate everything the director wants to say. It's just that it was the eve of Gaugamela's eve as soon as the screen changed. This is too much omitted... It's nothing else, and the Tyr strategy battle should not be ignored.
The handling of the big scenes is very good, the battle of Gaugamela, the Hinkudush Mountains, and the Indian battlefield - although the cavalry charge in the woods is a bit ridiculous. Capital cities such as Pella, Babylon, and Alexandria are just a glimpse, but they don't look bad. The MM in the Persian palace is very good-looking, snickering.
