2019 film " Late Show " (Late Night), a late-night show Late Night with Katherine Newbury anchor Katherine ( Emma Thompson ornaments) in long plagued by depression. Sunshine's Molly Patte ( Mindy Kalin ) expresses her dissatisfaction with the symptoms of depression and the toxic work environment, and she asks Katherine whether it is true that Katherine once revealed on the show that she was depressed abroad.

Were you really depressed? Or was it just part of the act? [...] God, why can't I express my admiration for you?

Katherine shows Molly a bunch of her Golden Globes, and here's what she says

No. I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but your earnestness can be very hard to be around. [...] Because successful people hate their own admirers, and we're suspicious of people who compliment us.

Of course, it is not limited to successful people, but successful people are more likely to be puzzled. The inability to believe in one's own success, the inability to believe in the praise of oneself, and the constant desire to make others accept the bad impression of oneself is probably a fairly accurate summary of the state of depression.

Although the plot of the whole film is just unsatisfactory, I quite like the portrayal of depression between the dialogues.
