I recently watched two movies, one called "The Thief in the City", a 2010 film, written and directed and acted by Ben Affleck; the other "Lone Killer" was a 1967 film by French film star Alain Delon Starred.
If you want to label, both films are regarded as crime dramas. Crime dramas are different from police and criminal films in that justice and evil are never the content of the film creators. Their focus will always be on the depiction of criminal behavior and psychology. In the end, the torture of complex human nature issues, so the protagonist of this type of film must be a criminal. Of course, there will be occasional CP settings for police and robbers, but the police are always the second male, and the second male must have a highly responsible work attitude. , Serious and solid work style and always inferior mind or luck. There is no way. It is not that the X army is too incompetent but the Y army is too cunning. This arrangement is reasonable, and it can bring out the criminal as the protagonist. Being tall is also conducive to the design and development of the plot.
The ending of this kind of film is best if everyone can be happy. The criminals continue to get away with it, and the police retreat. This is the ending of "Big Thieves in the City", but this kind of ending tests the skill of the screenwriter very much. It is not well designed and easy to do if the logic is not strict. Overkill or superfluous, fortunately Ben Affleck did a good job; another ending is the criminal's self-destruction, why is it self-destruction? One of the logic behind this is that if it were not my volition, your police would not be able to catch me, otherwise it would be a gangster movie; the second is that you have to give the audience an explanation. More willing to accept a tragic hero image. "Lone Killer" belongs to this kind of ending, and French films often don't follow the routines. The killer played by the handsome guy Alandron ended up being shot to death by the police suddenly.
The two films have been separated by more than forty years. The endings are different, and the styles are quite different, but they all have a similar plot arrangement. I don't know whether it is a coincidence or Affleck pays tribute to the predecessor. This plot is like this: as a policeman Male number two lobbyed female friends who were closely related to male number one, hoping that she could act as a witness for the prosecution to testify against male number one or provide clues to another case that is about to happen. Inevitably, the veteran police must be moved with affection. It is both hard and soft to defeat the opponent’s psychological defenses and force the opponent to submit. What’s interesting is that although the policemen in the two films tried their best, the results were different. Going back unfailingly, the FBI of "The Thief in the City" succeeded in achieving its goal.
I specially replayed the two clips for comparison and combing. I found that even though they were both old male policemen and the same young women who did their work, the results were completely different. One raised his hand to surrender and the other did not buy it at all. I concluded the reasons. The two Sirs differ greatly in their verbal expression and communication strategies. This is very interesting. Let’s analyze them one by one:
First of all, the FBI in the "City" film chose to meet with the woman in a bar, trying to minimize the nature of the case. Only in the middle of the conversation will the identity be revealed, and the soldiers will be courteous first. In the "Independence" film, the old police force enters the woman's room and just enters To start the search, the first thing to do is to adopt arrogant means, so first lose a move;
Second, in the film "City", the FBI always pretends to be a nightclub before revealing his identity, and uses his own sportsman's advantage to tease the woman extremely. The setting of the woman in the film is obviously in line with the FBI's desire to get caught. In the film "Independence", the woman being worked is obviously not a good woman, but the old policeman did not expect to take advantage of her hormones and said, "I also have a daughter as big as you." When talking about old people, the little ambiguous atmosphere remaining in the air is ruined by the elders’ indoctrination to the younger generations. The empathy ability of the old police is really worrying;
Finally, in the film "Independence", the old policeman did not know how to behave and used subjective and intimidating language, trying to make the work target feel terrified and surrendered. They did not know that the young woman's feelings for the male number one are extremely loyal, which is equivalent to shielding crime. By comparison, the old police underestimated the energy of women in love; the police in the "City" film adopted a completely different strategy. Of course, the difference between "City" and "Independence" films is that the young woman is set as the police have already mastered The FBI in the "City" film did not first use the child as a threat tool, but only step by step to lure the enemy to go deeper and choose the right time to throw the child’s bargaining chip. , The most critical and most exciting scene appeared in the last sentence of the dialogue, "You have been with him for so many years, how many diamond necklaces did he give you." It completely defeated the woman's psychological defense. What needs to be added here is that the woman in "City" is the female number two, and she has always been attached to the male number one. Although her self-life is not correct, she never wants to let go of the male number one's hand, but the male number one is right. She has no feelings, fell in love with the female number one in the play and bought a diamond necklace as a gift to the female number one. At this point, we can understand how much work the FBI, as the male number two, has done in the battle against the female number two. Compared with a little bit of illegal drug trafficking clues, he pays more attention to playing the emotional card and through the maternal love of women to their children. The nature and the jealous nature of rivals succeeded in hitting the soft underbelly of the work target. The old policeman in the movie "Independence" also tried to take advantage of the woman’s jealousy and threw out some news about the male protagonist’s transference to the young woman, but because of his feelings and thoughts about the person he worked with. Lack of sufficient understanding, just look like a gossip, the words spoken can only make people even more offensive.
In this way, you have to pay attention to methods and methods to do anything. To make others accept your ideas, communication skills are absolutely necessary. Empathy is important, and advancement is also important. Pay attention to the level of progress, especially the old men and the young. When women communicate, they should put themselves in a correct position and don't make mistakes, ha ha.
