The leading actor, Commander Gao, is a young lecturer who has just received a teaching position. His dream is to establish a small research institute, preserve the declining qualitative research methods, and restore the glory of Moore and Scochepo. But because I can’t publish an article, I can’t bring students, and I can’t get research funding. After finishing a historical and sociological presentation where all the audience dozed off, even the instructor told him to get out. However, the handsome appearance of the presentation attracted a collateral PhD student, the heroine Stone Sister. Later fell in love with him. In order to make ends meet, the high commander can only temporarily give up his dreams and follow the trend with his collaborators. Bayesian machine learning investigations and experiments issued various papers, and a quick trot to keep the teaching position.

Sister Shitou started to follow the trend, writing papers with existing data and submitting articles everywhere, but she was rejected repeatedly. Later, with the encouragement of Commander Gao, he collected data and wrote an article. But it can only be published in a third- and fourth-rate publication, and almost can't even pay the page fee. When she was about to give up, some industry leaders accidentally read her thesis, then invited her to coauthor, and also got the opportunity to go to Paris to do a postdoctoral study. The two separated as a result.

Five years later, Sister Shitou published countless articles in top journals. After taking tenure, she returned to her alma mater to teach. Once in a while, she passed by Commander Gao’s small research institute. She just happened to see Commander Gao telling students about the presentation that fascinated her back then. People smiled at each other and the play ended.

I listened to the big screen with Norwegian subtitles naked. If the realization of each other’s dreams surpasses love, then what touches the audience is another parallel world of love itself as a perfect dream that has never been realized. This sounds a bit paradoxical, but it seems to be a let-off bet for this movie. . No matter singing, dancing or music, it is a wonderful fantasy that breeds in LA and the world of movies.

The opening scene is a glimpse to the end. The singing and dancing passages are amazing, the dream/love description is exquisite, various dazzling skill shots, changing lighting, and retro art design show the audiovisual appeal that is very different from that of burst drummers. The young director realizes from independence to commercial type. The leap of the film. The singing and dancing part is both a tribute to the golden age and a fresh sense of keeping up with the times, discussing the evolution of jazz, and the original OST is super nice. Commander Gao and Sister Shishi are so charming and talented! Ending crying

La La Land quotes

  • Mia: I've been to a million auditions, and the same thing happens every time, where I get interrupted because someone wants to get a sandwich. Or I'm crying, and they start laughing. Or there's people sitting in the waiting room, and they're... and they're like me but prettier and better at the... because maybe I'm not good enough.

    Sebastian: Yes, you are.

Mia: No... no, maybe I'm not.

    Sebastian: Yes, you are.

    Mia: Maybe I'm not.

    Sebastian: You are.

    Mia: Maybe I'm not.

    Sebastian: You are.

  • Mia: Maybe I'm one of those people that has always wanted to do it, but it's like a pipe dream for me, you know? And then you... you said it, you-you changed your dreams, and then you grow up. Maybe I'm one of those people, and I'm not supposed to. And I can go back to school, and I can find something else I'm supposed to do. 'Cause I left to do that, and it's been six years, and I don't wanna do it anymore.

    Sebastian: Why?

    Mia: Why what?

Sebastian: Why don't you want to do it anymore?

Mia: 'Cause I think it hurts a little bit too much.

    Sebastian: You're a baby.

    Mia: I'm not a baby.

    Sebastian: You are.

Mia: I'm trying to grow up.

Sebastian: You're crying like a baby.

    Mia: Oh, my god.

Sebastian: And you have an audition tomorrow at 5:30. I'll be out front at 8:00 a.m. You'll be out front or not, I don't know.

Mia: How did you find me here?

Sebastian: The house in front of the library.
