Am I the only one who thinks this movie has a vicious political metaphor?

This is a closed group with a large number of children, men and women hold half of the sky, and an old man ruled alone. The people call the ruler Dad,

People are managed in a semi-military manner, getting up on time, eating, exercising, training, and being assigned what books to read, what knowledge to learn, and how to think about problems.

This group of people has no religious beliefs, and also denies the beliefs of the outside world, but when challenged by the outside world, they will put on the vests of their beliefs and sing praises to scare the challengers away.

The older ones have seen a glimpse of the outside world, the younger ones have been completely brainwashed, and they will only open their mouths to recite outdated and unpractical false Dakong,

In this small universe, blood and blood coexist with theoretical physics, the self-proclaimed noble morality that is not polluted by capitalism and consumerism coexists with the underhanded small business and the hypocritical behavior of plucking the wool of capitalism.

They think their closed little universe is a harmonious utopia, but everyone else in the world sees it differently and feels they need to be saved,

One of their members who believed in Buddhism left the group and supported the people inside the group from the outside, and finally burned himself to light the way forward,

Under the guidance of the outside and the awakening of the inside, finally some internal personnel were shaken. The older ones yearned for the civilization and colorfulness of the outside world, and began to deny themselves. The younger and braver, under the blessing of the violent institutions of the outside world, raised their guns and launched spring of the bus,

The independent cai ruler sent people to forcibly suppress it, but because of the unfavorable discord from time to time, it finally failed, almost losing his wife and losing his troops.

With the general trend, the independent rulers finally made a half-hearted compromise, opened the closed door, and established a new system and life in the buffer zone.

Some people have finally left the group and changed their face to completely integrate into the outside world. More people who stay in the buffer zone are gradually accepting the rules of the outside world. However, this group is still highly independent and self-sufficient. clear and distinct.

Does this setup sound familiar?

They scoffed, trying to "save" and "naturalize" the object to understand who it is?

This is not a utopian movie for sustenance or criticism, this is a "revelation" for disgusting people.

I felt like I ate shit after watching it.

I really hate this setup. Parents impose their own life philosophy on their children, no matter what the result is, they cut off the opportunity for children to choose themselves. . The father in the movie is simply morbid.

Generally speaking, this kind of utopian theme and small fresh style plus an emotional card can basically get the false high evaluation of most audiences.

Captain Fantastic quotes

  • Bo: We're just back in the states because of my dad's sabbatical. He's writing a book on Dr. Spock.

Claire: Oh, I love Star Trek.

  • Ellen: [intercepting Bo & Claire on their way to a tryst] It's almost midnight. I sincerely hope you two lovebirds haven't been doing what I think you've been doing.

Bo: [talking rapidly] I know what you think. But I know that your daughter has taught me many things just now. She has broadened my mind, she has helped me grow. When we just kissed for the first time just then, it... The endorphins that your daughter sent through my body were like dolphins swimming through my bloodstream. The way she has opened me up, she has penetrated deep inside of me, and I know that I have penetrated deep, deep inside of your daughter. And... but not-not like that. I would love to when... When it's necessary for... I, I want kids someday. Not right now, of course.

Bo: [turning to speechless Claire] But when you're ready, when I'm ready, because I think this should be a shared decision. This is a decision that we should make together. But when you are ready, I will be ready. I am ready for you, if you will have me... Claire... What's your last name?
