100% of the scene took place on a lifeboat prop in the studio. Hitchcock's skill in making low-budget movies is too strong. The story of a group of Americans and a German on the lifeboat is still a dialogue scene. Mainly, it is nothing more than some performances that can reflect the characters' personalities and refer to their social class, but at the end, the concluding remarks of the ship's people push the film to a sermon that expounds a certain philosophical point of view. The film was shot in 1944, during World War II, so it expressed many views of Nazi discrimination in Germany.
