Post-war fairy tale, a bear and a little boy

/

The prototype of Winnie the Pooh and his good friend Christopher Robin

Is the son of British author Alan Milne and his teddy bear

The film tells the story of the once tense father-son relationship between Milne and his son

And the post-war peace and reconciliation with tears

/

A cruel war

/

The story begins when my father rushed to the front line after receiving a letter of application

where he was no longer a mere writer

The little commotion and noise of everyday life form the shadow of war

This is the post-war panic that many people who returned from the war shared.

So that gorgeous city is no longer suitable for him

He chose to flee and moved to a remote country town

However, his father's psychological disorder did not improve. He avoided writing and was busy with "flowers and plants" all day.

/

Mother doesn't let Billy moon near father when he works

However, the interruption of this little angel made the birth of Winnie the Pooh.

Those days are the happiest days my father will recall in the future.

They'll play Teddy bear's sidekick "storytelling" together

Together they will look out over the peaceful town from the rock

They would throw branches on the bridge and "drift"

This gave my father a real post-war cultivation

/

Teddy bear is my little bear

/

Billy moon wants his father to write a story for him

So my father found his good partner to create the original Winnie the Pooh illustration

Together they build characters and plot

In Billy moon's heart, it's just a gift from his father

And his Teddy bear is still his own talking bear

/

Until the publication of the new book, Winnie the Pooh became popular throughout the UK and even the world

Everyone longs to have such a little bear

So my mother arranged for Billy moon's interview, "show"

Billy moon's appearance is no longer simple, his childhood began to "deteriorate"?

Dad's phone call was actually a radio interview

Dad's birthday present was actually a marching band of book characters

His childhood began to say goodbye to running in green fields, looking out on rocks, walking side by side with bears

/

He doesn't understand why everyone loves their little bear so much

He doesn't even know why everyone is substituting in the plot.

He's not Christopher robin but Billy moon

/

Billy moon is not Christopher Robin

/

At the beginning of the story my father wrote this story out of love and heart

In the middle of the story he forgot to say No to all these exposures

At the end of the story he finally remembers that Billy moon is not Christopher Robin

Even at the beginning, he personally promised that in order not to confuse everyone, he specially chose a different name for the protagonist of the story.

/

Isn't this "marketing" Billy moon's love for his father

This excessive attention that the little boy can't bear also attracts a lot of jealousy

Billy moon bullied for 'Winnie the Pooh and his friends' throughout his school years

It made him hate everything in that storybook even more

The father and son also gradually freeze until the letter of application for the war arrives again

Billy moon begs his father to do everything possible to get him to the front

The news that the child is gone but more nervous for fear of sacrifice

/

“My childhood, is wonderful”

/

Sad news comes that tears are the smallest ocean man-made

When I close my eyes, I can still see a little boy and his Teddy bear

Father starts to reflect again

/

It seems like a miracle Billy moon has returned home safely

Father and son talk? No is reconciliation after years and wars

As Billy moon said, the story of the little bear who once loved and hated so much

Give them hope again in the war when everything is broken

Tell soldiers what a good childhood should be like what a good life should be like

he never stuck in the past

/

When the father choked out "But your childhood..."

"Was Wonderful"

It's a release from growing up with all the unpleasant reconciliations of the past

This calm but heart-wrenching tears

Goodbye Christopher Robin quotes

  • Daphne Milne: You know what writing a book against war is like? It's like writing a book against Wednesdays. Wednesdays... are a fact of life, and if you don't like them, you could just stay in bed, but you can't stop them because Wednesdays are coming and if today isn't actually a Wednesday it soon will be.

  • Christopher Robin Aged 18: There it all is. Just as I left it. As if nothing had happened.

Alan Milne: When I came back, everything seemed wrong. I didn't fit anywhere. Until I came here. Those days with you... I wanted to keep them all. Put them in a box.

Christopher Robin Aged 18: The things that I said before I left...

Alan Milne: They were all true. You're here. That's all that matters.

Christopher Robin Aged 18: In the desert, we were under fire... and one of the men started singing one of the hums of Pooh. He changed the words a bit, but...

    Alan Milne: [low chuckle]

Christopher Robin Aged 18: You know. And I thought, "How on earth do you know that song?" And then I remembered...

Alan MilneChristopher Robin Aged 18: Everyone on earth knows that song.

Christopher Robin Aged 18: But I knew it first. It was mine before it was anyone else's.

Alan Milne: Then I gave it away.

Christopher Robin Aged 18: When they were singing, they were remembering. It was like a magic charm... it took them home to a fireside and a storybook. You did that.

Alan Milne: [inhales] Thank you. I'm sorry you paid the price for it. If I'd known, perhaps I...

Christopher Robin Aged 18: What? Not written it? No. You reminded people what happiness was... what childhood could be when everything else was broken.

Alan Milne: But your own childhood.

Christopher Robin Aged 18: Was wonderful. It was growing up that was hard.

Alan Milne: [smacks lips] Who would have guessed that bear would swallow us up?

Christopher Robin Aged 18: Exactly. This was all ours, wasn't it? Before it was anyone else's.

Alan Milne: Yes. And it always will be.
