Be kind, choose hope - "K Star Alien"

Today I introduce an American/German sci-fi movie "K Star Stranger". The title of the film is K-PAX (2001), alias Miracle Begins from the Heart.

This is a sci-fi movie without computer special effects. It relies entirely on the wonderful interpretation of the actors and the interesting brain holes of the director to support the whole film. Whether the male protagonist in the film is an alien has become the focus of discussion.

Actor Kevin Spacey was also nominated for the Best Actor in a Leading Role by the American Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Film Association for his wonderful performance in the film.

The protagonist, Prot, claims to be an alien from the K-PAX star. He was admitted to a Manhattan mental hospital for his "nonsense" after he suddenly appeared in New York's Grand Central Terminal.

During his treatment, Dr. Mark Powell discovered that Plott might actually be an alien, possibly a strongly stimulated multiple personality.

With the original intention of curing diseases and saving people, Dr. Powell spent a lot of energy on Plott, trying to find out the secrets of him.

Is Plott an alien? There is no direct answer in the video. In many cases, the film takes an ambiguous approach to this issue.

For example, Plott explained the reproduction method of K-PAX stars. On the one hand, it may be the real situation of K-PAX stars.

For example, Plott's emotions were out of control when he encountered the water spray. On the one hand, it may be that K-PAX is sensitive to the water spray after being possessed by the star.

There are many such scenarios that can be both, and both interpretations can correspond to his true and false alien identity.

There are two speculations about Plot's identity, nothing more than that he is an alien, and he is not an alien.

The evidence that supports Plott's alien identity is nothing more than that he can draw complex planetary trajectories, which shocked astrophysicists; can withstand three times the dose of sedatives without responding; can see ultraviolet rays ; can mysteriously predict the future and use biological self-healing ability to treat mental patients and so on.

The salvation that supports Plott's identity as an ordinary person is that he is a survivor of a tragic murder. The strong stimulation caused him to split his personality. In order to protect himself, his brain forcibly divided a new personality, using the "alien". Identity protects itself.

If Plott is not an alien, there will be some scenes in the film that cannot be explained. For example, Beth's sudden disappearance on time and the screen blurred. Simply explaining it by coincidence is unconvincing.

Plott mentioned that he could use the superbeam to travel faster than light, but only take one person. Then the most reasonable explanation is that Plott is indeed a K-PAX star, but the manifestations of aliens are not carbon-based creatures in the ordinary sense, but are realized by means of spiritual parasitism or mind control.

This explains that Plott can only take one person away, because K-PAX stars can only possess one host, either Plott or Beth.

Many years ago, the K-PAX star Plott came to the earth to travel and met the earth man Robert, and the two became friends through communication.

On the evening of July 27, 1996, Robert experienced a family tragedy. Plott, who came to hear the news, could not keep up with stopping the criminal, but was able to prevent Robert from committing suicide. So Plott borrowed Robert's body to continue interstellar travel.

When Plott returned to Earth again, he wanted to return Robert's body. Before meeting a reliable person, Plott had been considering the crowd around him. The appearance of Dr. Powell made Plott feel that he had met someone who could be trusted, so he changed his body and continued to travel.

Human beings are full of good and evil. Plott chooses kindness. Even if he fails to prevent evil, he protects his victimized friends in his own way.

It is no wonder that Plott thinks that the people on earth are very primitive. When other planets are busy with interstellar travel, the people on earth are still busy killing each other.

Regardless of how viewers identify Plott, the basic values conveyed by the film will not change. Only by being kind to oneself and others can we have the foundation for development, otherwise everyone will return to the primitive society where we drink blood.

Plott has good intentions,

Truth, kindness and beauty choose hope.
