Very cute movie (laughs)

60's movies, no wonder they are so old, like they were made when color movies first started (laughs), but they are very cute.
The funny-looking old professor brought a stupefied young man (his student?) to a small village buried in the mountains by snow because of the legend of vampires. On the way, the young man found that the professor was sitting on the sleigh strangely, and a group of wolves were chasing him! After finally getting rid of the wolf, I went to the small inn in the village and found that the professor was frozen into an ice man~, so the villagers carried the old man into the store like luggage and threw it into the hot water bucket!
Then everything was as it would appear in a fairy tale. In the middle of the night came the singing of a beautiful girl, the devil came and took the girl away, and a bite mark appeared on the neck of the innkeeper..., so the old man and the young man were taught to move towards the legendary ancient Fort advance. For us foreigners, that castle is like a museum about the Middle Ages, everything is just right, it makes people feel like "Oh! That's what that era was like!" But this is the castle where the Vampire Count and his son lived. ...The Count is a bit pretentious, and his sons, whether male or female, are all accepted. So the professor and the young man should be careful to appreciate and run for their lives ~.
The ending of the story is more like the real ending in a fairy tale, rather than a Hollywood "near miss". After all, you'll like this movie even more when you see the ending.
Well, to be honest, I haven't seen such a simple movie for a long time, just to tell a legend passed down from the old. In a way, it's charming, and it's completely different from Interview with the Vampire. It's like reading a moving fairy tale book. Simple, vivid and humorous. I watched it with my dad and he liked it too.

The Fearless Vampire Killers quotes

  • [opening lines]

Narrator: That night, penetrating deep into the heart of Transylvania, Professor Abronsius was unaware that he was on the point of reaching the goal of his mysterious investigations. In the course of which he had journeyed throughout Central Europe for years accompanied by his one and only faithful disciple, Alfred. A scholar and scientist whose genius was unappreciated, Abronsius had given up all to devote himself body and soul to what was to him a sacred mission. He had even lost his chair at Königsberg University, where for a long time his colleagues used to refer to him as "The Nut".

  • Sarah Shagal: I got into the habit of it at school. It's funny Papa. You can't just change your habits in a couple of months, can you? Besides, it's good for your health. Once a day is the very least. Don't you agree?

Alfred, Abronsius' Assistant: [laughs nervously] Yes.

Sarah Shagal: Do you mind if I have a quick one?

    Alfred, Abronsius' Assistant: Huh?

Alfred, Abronsius' Assistant: [Thinks she means something else]

Alfred, Abronsius' Assistant: I don't mind at all, but...

Sarah Shagal: Oh, thank you! You are being very nice. Now could you get me some hot water?
