taste of wind

Vietnamese movies have always been my favorite. I watched Chen Yingying's "Three Talks on the Coachman", "The Taste of Summer", "The Taste of Green Papaya" and the "Three Seasons of Love" I just finished watching. I saw its poster in an audio shop earlier, the fiery red phoenix bloomed into a drunken sunset, and the woman in white opened her arms and smiled. The colors in Vietnamese films are like rich and stray watercolor paintings, with an unspeakable mystery, poignant and moving. In fact, that tropical country is hot, barren, and lacks a sense of order and security. Most of the natives live a toil and rush life, and the dark skin scorched by the scorching sun still bears traces of the colonial days. There is no plot connection between several groups of characters in the film. The tricycle driver loves the prostitute who wants to "fly on the branches". The singing of the lotus-picking girl brings memories and throbbing to the dying old poet. The American veteran who once fought in Vietnam came back to find his daughter. They are all trivial fragments, such as the white lotus floating on the water, and the fragrance is floating. There is no ups and downs of great joy and great sorrow, only the love in my heart will be quietly twitched from time to time. The girl is faintly understated, the woman's skin is sweaty, and the American veteran said it's long time ago... This kind of film can easily make people forget what year it was. After a rainstorm, the past events were washed away, and the plot of the past was left in their hearts, turned into an invisible breath, and continued to entangle and wander.

Three Seasons quotes

  • James Hager: I made many mistakes in my life. That was a long time ago. Have I met the same man I was then? A lot of times past. When a chance comes around to make a wrong a right it's a special thing. But I hoped to make one thing right.
