disappointing work

I watched it on the 24th. The busyness and laziness made me delay for a long time, but the disappointment that I still can't completely relieve finally urged me to type these words.

This is a really disappointing piece of work. Originally, "Toy Story 4" was my most anticipated movie in recent months. I really liked this series very much. In order to meet the 4th part, I took time to re-brush the first three parts, but I ended up seeing something like this. The high reviews online used to excite me, but now it only makes me suspicious that they're not watching the same version.

The performance of the shepherdess at the beginning is very strange. A toy who has always encouraged Woody and emphasized his meaning to Andy to Woody, so easily chooses to give up his master? And Woody was so reluctant to part with her, but she chose to leave. What about her love for Woody? What about friendships with other toys? She clearly knew that she had been put in the wrong box.

Bonnie's performance was also mesmerizing. According to the previous setting, she is obviously a person who loves toys, but in the play, she has almost no interaction with the toys, and only pays attention to the forks she made. She didn't even notice that Woody disappeared so many times in the middle.

The dashing duke line is a complete failure. In fact, from being abandoned by the master and leaving a psychological shadow to being able to go beyond the limit and jumping out of a very long distance, this can already be an independent film. There's nothing wrong with the design itself. But what about his upbringing? There is obviously a psychological shadow in front of him that can't jump far, and then, after a bunch of plots that have nothing to do with him, when the camera turns back to him again, he can jump for no reason. Ok! ! ? ? Here I really see my face dazed.

There are also loopholes in the whitewashing of Gaby dolls. The little policewoman who followed the shepherdess once said that Gaby Doll was a weirdo, and you better watch out for her. But until the end, she was very kind to everyone except that she wanted to grab Woody's voice device, and when she was whitewashing, she also said that she had done nothing bad. The question is, why did other toys fear her so much in the years before Woody arrived? Even Duke Daredevil planned to refuse when he heard that it had something to do with Gaby dolls. This probably doesn't make sense.

The ending is what bothers me the most. To be honest, the previous ones were all minor issues, and what really broke the film was the ending. Woody just left? Also Bonnie will be fine? What about Bonnie's promise to Andy in the third installment? Bonnie personally promised Andy to take care of Woody, and now Woody is gone, and you say she doesn't care? excuse me? And the first few movies have always emphasized that the toys are a family, and they have to be together forever, but now they let Woody leave directly? Writer, are you kidding me? Even if the RV cape is suddenly put away, the shepherdess can't go, and she is forced to stay as Bonnie's toy, it is better than letting Woody leave. The plot of Woody choosing to leave the master is simply rubbing the stories of the first three films and the feelings of fans on the ground.

There is also a big question, can't toys behave like living creatures in front of humans? Pretending to be navigation, pulling the accelerator, manipulating the results of the target... completely disregarding the impact on the human world. Are you challenging your own settings? In the first few parts, the ingenuity of the toy division of labor and cooperation to complete the task is gone according to their own characteristics, and the toys are directly reminded, forcibly manipulating the car, etc., which is more like a broken can after the imagination is exhausted. It doesn't matter if there is no third part. As a finale, plus the environment is completely different from the first and second parts, it is normal to break some settings. But the third part is about to change the owner. When the background gap is so big, this setting has not been broken, and now it is just messing around?

I actually like shepherdess very much, she is my third, maybe even second favorite toy, surpassing Cowgirl Triss who has a lot of roles. I'm very sorry that she disappeared in the third part, and I was really happy to know she came back in the fourth part, but now I'd rather she didn't come back. This movie is less like Pixar's Toy Story and more like Disney's Princes and Princesses series (I know Pixar has been acquired by Disney). I don't mean to look down on Disney's princess series. There are many classics in this theme, and I like it very much. It's not that I can't understand Pixar's behavior of trying more adult themes when the audience grew up. But even if you're going to show love, it shouldn't take precedence over the bond between the toy and its owner that's been consistent throughout the series. It's one of the core settings of the series and the driving force behind the first three stories, and it would be foolish to discard it.

Objectively speaking, this film is not a bad film. If there is no "Toy Story 3", it may be a good ending. But with the story of 3, this is a complete failure. There is a sense of incongruity everywhere, which is incompatible with the entire series. Samsung is for its own quality, but if I consider the success of the first three, I can only give two stars. If I start from my own feelings, I would be too much to give one star.
