Animals endowed with human emotions seem to be living around us.
The story develops because of a dream and a friendship. Zebra, who has just passed its tenth birthday, is dissatisfied with being confined to a small world in Central Park, hoping to return to its natural environment, run as much as possible, and release as much as possible. As long as they are youthful people will have this idea-youth is full of passion and vitality. Similarly, youth is the impulse to remember no consequences. The zebra left his sleeping friend and prepared to go from the train station to the grassland he was yearning for. Because of their friendship, the lions found the zebras, but they were packed in boxes by humans and transported to unknown places.
Maybe it's because zebras had a dream of getting out of the park on their birthday, maybe God wants to know how strong their friendship is. They came to a completely wild environment: Madagascar.
The days on the island are full of complex emotions. Betrayal, awakening, depression, joy...
What impressed me the most was that on the first day they had just arrived on the island, the lion drew a deep line on the beach and said solemnly to the zebra, "The line is over there." It’s your world, and here is the world we long to go back to." The lion at that time only thought of going back, returning to his comfortable cage, and eating his delicious steak. He worked hard to prepare to go back, made a stand for the Statue of Liberty, and a big HELP. At this moment, I can feel the lion’s homesickness. Although the park is an iron cage, the growth of the lion is recorded there, bit by bit every day. And here, there is nothing. But to my surprise, the Lion finally apologized to Zebra. The simple reason makes me unable to believe: "I'm sorry, I didn't understand your thoughts." I can understand how many complaints and grievances accumulated in the lion's heart when he said this, but what could be the reason? Isn't it that many years of friendship, and the gratifying smile that hopes that your best friend's dream will come true? Lion, lion, why do you bother?
I resent the zebra's stubbornness, but because of my youthful blood and dreams, I implicated three of my good friends. Zebra never admitted that the situation on the island was due to his fault, but he didn't need to admit anything. When he said "I am the happiest with you", I clearly saw the waves of regret in his heart. It turns out that a person's happiness is not real happiness. Only sharing one's happiness with the people you like is real happiness, and that is also true friendship.
In the days when everyone was living in the wild on the island, it was not just lions and zebras who expressed their hearts with their behavior. There are also funny giraffes, empathetic hippos, penguin digging groups pretending to be serious, and my favorite little squirrel that blinks his half-headed eyes... Although the days on the island will be very difficult. It's hard and strange, but after getting along for a long time, toasting, celebrating, and reminiscing the scenes at the time of parting, everything is so beautiful.
