The 1973 movie was watched in the light and cheerful piano music, and that era was considered the golden age of movies. Finally know who Paul Newman is, and then the other protagonist really looks like Pete.
The whole plot follows the deception laid out by the protagonist. The last step is to take the bait, and it can be explained. I lament that the liar really has a precise grasp of the heart. The scene on the train was really wonderful. I checked it out and it was the best picture at the Oscars that year.
