When I was a child, I had a DVD of the animated movie "Aladdin" at home, and I don't know how many times I've watched it. The reason why I love this animation is not only the legendary story and full characters, but also the unique and mysterious Arabian style in the film. The vast and deep desert is different from the forest with witches and the cave with evil dragons. In the sand dunes that change shape with the wind, it is not surprising that what has happened and what is buried. At the cinema today, at the beginning of the film, I heard the familiar music, saw the dark moon and the wind, and the entrance to the bottomless treasure cave, which suddenly brought me back to the atmosphere of my childhood watching animations, back to the place with Agra, the desert city of intrigue, magic and romance.
The film has a high degree of restoration of the original animation. Personally, I feel that the picture and atmosphere are perfectly reproduced from the animation. The best part is the date when Aladdin and the princess rode the magic carpet at night. Soft moonlight, wide water, and the wind. In the time of one song, two young hearts, like their singing voices, went from testing each other to being honest and telling each other sincerely. This song is also my personal favorite in the whole film, whether it is an animated version or a live-action version.
This live-action movie also has some regrets about it. The most important thing is that I personally feel that the rhythm of this film is not very good, and it feels a little running account. I remember in the original animation, when Aladdin was a punk at the beginning, he saved a child, but was insulted by the guards and said that no one would be sad if you died, only the fleas on your body will miss you. With the performance of the characters' complex shapes and facial expressions, every word is smashed into the hearts of the audience. After that, Aladdin returned to his residence to sing "Rogue, Rogue", which is really very embarrassing and sympathetic. But in the live-action movie, it was handled in a hurry, and the song was not finished. There is also Aladdin who was exiled by Jafang into the blizzard. In the original animation, Aladdin just embraced Abu and struggled to move forward in the blizzard, but it was at this moment that he realized that he should fulfill his promise to let the elves be free, not For the sake of his own desires, he broke his promise and deceived everyone, so that the elves would not be used by Jia Fang to seize power. In the live-action movie, it was adapted as Aladdin to save Abu from falling into a deep valley. Although it was very thrilling and tense, the important moments of the character's growth were missing.
Finally, I will talk about a design that surprised me. The person who told the story at the beginning finally found out that it was the elf after being freed. Although it is old-fashioned, it is very effective, and it adds time to the story at once, which is very gentle.
