After the first brush, I really want to follow the second brush

I was stunned.

I can't even remember how long ago was the last time I watched a movie I didn't understand. Villeneuve shocked me again, but why did he use the spider as a metaphor? It's okay to change to a snake or something, the spider at the beginning and end of the film causes strong physical discomfort!

Starting from "Chaos is an Unknown Sequence", the film has always pointed out the confrontation and struggle between the two personalities. Antony, the main character, created a sub-personal Adam in order to prevent himself from guilt caused by cheating. From the reactions of the supporting characters, it can also be inferred that there is no sci-fi operation like double gangger in the film.

The theme of the film is placed on self-control. Antony never wants to accept his derailment, to self-confession, to awakening-regret, and finally self-control fails, repeating the same mistakes, and a vicious circle of stories is born. Lao Ji shows the difference between the two personalities through the difference in eyes, clothing, dominant hand, ring, etc., but the two people are so indistinguishable in terms of shape that it is really difficult to tell the difference in each game without knowing the result. The first time the play appeared, the two personalities were distinguished, so it also caused some understanding obstacles.

But overall, this film has done a good job as a pseudo-fine piece, the logical relationship is still clear, and it deserves a high score

Enemy quotes

  • Anthony: How many months are you?

    Helen: Six months.

Anthony: That's nice. I should be going. I have a class I have to teach.

[He laughs while she looks freaked]

Anthony: You never know how your day is gonna turn out. Have a nice day.

  • Anthony: Control, it's all about control. Every dictatorship has one obsession and that's it. In ancient Rome they gave the people bread and circuses. They kept population busy with entertainment but other dictatorships used other strategies to control ideas, the knowledge... how do they do that? Lower education, they limit culture, censor information, they censor any means of individual expression and is important to remember this, that this is a pattern, that repeats itself through out history.
