If you want a lighthearted movie that doesn't require much brainstorming, this is the right choice. Now I don’t really want to watch heavy themes that reflect social reality, and I don’t like watching brain-burning movies anymore, I just want to watch something light (how tiring is life?)
Yesterday, I went to the cinema with my family to buy tickets. As for him, he was pulled by a good friend to watch "Quick Preparation 3", which made men's blood boil. I watched the first one, and the whole process was full of fighting and killing, and I fell into a coma. So I chose Aladdin without hesitation.
Interestingly, halfway through the movie, the tornado hit, the theater paused, leaving all the audience standing in the hallway waiting (actually I don't know why the tornado came and the movie couldn't continue). We exchanged feelings immediately, and I said, "Aladdin is beautiful. How about you?"
The two of them frowned and said, "The male protagonist killed a lot of people in this one. Like the first two, there is no plot at all."
So where is Aladdin good looking? I think there are a few bright spots that must not be ignored.
The first is definitely the awakening of feminist consciousness. The princesses in the previous Disney movies were all beautiful vases, looking weak and waiting for the prince to save them. As feminist awareness swept the world, Disney's traditional princess image was constantly under fire. There is a classic clip in "Invincible Destruction King 2", which is a rant against the stereotyped image of Disney princesses.
In fact, in the previous live-action movies, they have begun to consciously change the image of the princess. For example, in "Beauty and the Beast", Emma plays a brave and resourceful beauty, and she is also well-versed in books. She can see through the ugly appearance of the beast. , see his heart. This is already a big breakthrough.
But I think these are not enough, such a design is still superficial. This results in female figures, which are still too thin compared to male characters.
Princess Jasmine in this movie, she went through a tough upbringing. From the very beginning, she was the image of a good girl who was resigned and overprotected, and finally experienced some adventures, and finally successfully broke free from the cage and became a majestic tiger. From that moment on, she was destined to be the leader of the country. Jasmine's charm is not only her beautiful appearance, but also her strong heart. She can see farther, and she pays attention to the future of the whole country and people.
So I think the image of Princess Jasmine is currently the most successful Disney movie. In the whole film, other people are reduced to supporting roles in front of her, whether it is Aladdin or the elf, none of them are as good as Princess Jasmine.
The second point is without a doubt the music. But I also never expected that the singing and dancing style of this movie always gave me an illusion: I thought I was watching a Bollywood movie. Is this kind of expression popular now? But watching a group of people wearing gorgeous clothes, singing and dancing happily, I feel quite happy. There are several wonderful songs "friends like me", "a whole new world", and "speechless" sung by Princess Jasmine. The styles of these songs are different, but what they have in common is that they are very nice. And all of them are of great help in expressing the characters' characters and promoting the development of the plot.
Among them, let's focus on "speechless". The weight of this song is very heavy. It was in the inspiration of this song that Princess Jasmine finally said the words that had been suppressed in her heart for a long time. The song is so powerful, I think it can replace "let it go" as a feminist song. And this song was sung by the actress who played Princess Jasmine herself. To be honest, this song is a bit difficult, not so easy to sing.
There is also a bright spot, no doubt Will Smith. I watched an interview, and it turned out that Will Smith had initially been offered the film, and he wanted to turn it down. Because the elf in the 1992 animated version of "Aladdin" was dubbed by Robin Williams. His performance was so good that the younger generation felt a lot of pressure. Robin Williams is an old showman. By the way, let's take a look at "Dead Poets Society" starring him, which is also a very wonderful movie.
Will Smith worries that he will not be able to surpass his predecessors, and that he will be compared to Robin Williams. But later they added rap elements to the song "friends like me", which happens to be Will Smith's special skill, so Will Smith's version of the elf image is very funny and humorous. However, after experiencing countless times of sadness and disappointment, the elf still has hope in human nature. Perhaps it is because of this that he can finally be free.
I also read in a film review that there is also talk show actor Gabriel Iglesias among the candidates for Elf. This guy is also a super funny guy, alias fluffy, and he is chubby and soft. It would be great if he were to play it. However, his global popularity is definitely not as good as Will Smith. I think Disney still has to consider the box office.
After watching the movie, I told it vividly to my family and his friends, and they both decided to watch it too. I asked them curiously: "How do you feel about your "Quick Preparation"?"
Jiyou was silent for a moment, frowned and said, "I have a hunch that there will be a fourth film in this movie. We all thought the male protagonist died, but in the end he didn't! But I will never watch it again."
The family members also said sadly: "There were originally six people in the screening room to watch the movie, but a tornado came in the middle. After the break, two more people left."
