To be honest, I still agree with the advice given to Charlie by the Hollywood playwright who appeared in the movie, that a script should have a good ending, but the standard of this "good ending" is that the benevolent sees the benevolent , but the ending of this movie is really not a good idea. It was so abrupt, it made one woman go crazy, one man took up the gun and killed the other, while he was fed by a crocodile, the one who survived the disaster was only thinking about his own happiness. I don't think any sane person would do any of the above.
Therefore, it should not be considered a good ending to suddenly turn from a bland movie into a gunfight suspense movie.
What is this movie trying to say? love? A successful example of overcoming one's own character weaknesses? The bizarre experience of a botanist who is super obsessed with creatures? Or, the story of the guy whose cheerful personality changed his autistic brother? I don't know, maybe, the movie is telling us what is "fascination", obsessed with collecting, obsessed with people who collect all kinds of strange things, obsessed with people who are obsessed with the stories of these things and people. Everyone is obsessed with something, it's just sad that someone dies.
The story is a tragedy after all, because Charlie's somber eyes from the beginning, and his dear twin brother, Donald, is dead.
