That summer night thirteen years ago

Once, a Disney animated film called "Aladdin" saved my empty and boring childhood and brought me endless beautiful fantasy. The significance of this movie to me may be difficult for ordinary people to understand. So, when I suddenly learned that this movie was in a live-action version today and it was in theaters, I was so excited that I bought a movie ticket one hour later without any hesitation. In the theater, the audience was amused by the movie and burst into laughter. And I was smiling, tears filled my eyes. . . This live-action movie really restored that animated movie so well. . . In the tears, I seem to have returned to that summer many years ago. That night, the sky was full of stars and cicadas and frogs screamed. At the age of eight, I watch the CCTV6 movie channel. Finally, it was 12 o'clock in the middle of the night, and "Aladdin" began! The magnificent Arab castle, the huge blue lamp god, and the magic carpet that can carry people flying freely. . . I still remember how big my eyes were at that time, because I was so surprised. Aladdin and the princess sang on the magic carpet, through the clouds and through the stars. My good first impression of love comes from this. Seeing this, when I was young, I looked at the starry sky outside the window, closed my eyes and imagined that I was also flying on the magic carpet. . . Until now, this scene often appears in my dreams. . . In my dream, I seemed to have entered a fantasy world. Thank Disney for planting a dream seed in my childhood. . .

Aladdin quotes

  • Sultan: Jafar, you vile betrayer!

Iago: That's Sultan Vile Betrayer to you!

  • Princess Jasmine: [to Jafar] At least some good will come of my being forced to marry. When I am Queen, I will have the power to get rid of you.

Sultan: Well, now. That's nice. All settled then. Now, Jasmine, getting back to this suitor business. Jasmine? Jasmine!

[the Sultan notices that Jasmine is running out of the room, and runs after her]

Jafar: [scowls in their direction] If only I had gotten that lamp!

Iago: [mocking Jasmine] "I will have the power to get rid of you." Dahhh! To think we gotta keep kissing up to that chump, and his chump daughter, for the rest of our lives.

Jafar: No, Iago. Only until she finds a chump husband. Then she'll have us banished. Or beheaded.

    JafarIago: Ew.

Iago: Oh, wait a minute, wait a minute! Jafar, what if you were the chump husband?

    Jafar: What?

Iago: Okay, okay. You marry the princess, all right? And and, uh, you. Then you become the sultan!

Jafar: Marry the shrew. I become sultan. The idea has merit.

Iago: Yes, merit. Yes! And then, we drop papa-in-law and the little woman off a cliff.

[he dives off Jafar's staff headfirst, then hits the ground]

    Iago: "Yah. Ker-splat!"

Jafar: [laughs] I love the way your foul little mind works!

    [both laugh evilly]
