The Ring of Midnight (US Version)

I didn't report much hope at the beginning, but I thought it was pretty good.

I have been thinking about a question recently, which has something to do with Sadako in the film. That is, if a person is born with a defect or is born in a very closed environment, what should this person do? How should this society treat this person?

Let me talk about two premises first:

1 People have no free will, everything is determined by the outside world

2 People will react to the external environment and think that they have free will

Under such preconditions, should people who do wrong be punished? Should people with birth defects get help?

My current conclusion is this:

1. How to treat this kind of person depends on which solution has a greater probability of survival for the human species.

2. For an individual, no matter what the external plan is, under the established plan, the survival of the individual is only the survival of the fittest and the survival of the fittest. There is nothing to say about it, this is fate. Just like the black butterfly and the white butterfly in the evolutionary process, the black butterfly is dead and the white butterfly is alive. Why should the black butterfly die? Sorry, this is fate.

Although it is a remake, the horror atmosphere is not diminished. The American version focuses on the narrative story. It explains the little girl's revenge plot quite clearly, plus the reversal at the end, which is quite beautiful. The little boy's expression is too entertaining, Naomi is so beautiful!

The remake was alright, except for the awkward special effect of climbing out of the TV, the overall suspenseful atmosphere and narrative rhythm are pretty good.
