Wealth is "pressing"

It's one of the best noir films in years, at least I think so. The genius Ripley, I would describe him as a black man. Black, because he is not kind, and outstanding because the most intelligent people usually have to enjoy the cold in the high places alone. With wealth, status and the life he longed for, he became a different kind of person. But what he lost was just as important, he just hadn't realized it yet. Wealth is "pressing", people's pursuit of wealth makes them become slaves of wealth. Everyone understands this truth, but understanding is powerless.
