I fell in love to eat spicy mustard, I love roller coasters, I fell in love with the Chamber of Secrets horror theme game, I love horror films, I love George Romero and James Wan , and I still love than simple face, but also naive than pets. And I'm in love with a show, I'm in love with Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story
American Horror Story has garnered 329 nominations and 115 awards since its inception.
Its appearance marks the rise of American horror dramas——
American Horror Story isn't just about ghost stories and gory murders. Instead, it has covered many sensitive topics such as religious ethics, human nature, good and evil, historical reincarnation, criminal psychology, and social contradictions.
No matter which season, it revolves around light and darkness, loneliness and vulnerability, love and compassion. Some people are born into hate because of love, and some people's thirst for desire leads to reincarnation in pain, and they are trapped in their own obsessions for life after life.
In fact, each season of American horror is a separate story, but the writers always subtly make each season related.
For example, the eighth season of "Apocalypse", which aired this year, was linked with the first season of "Murder House" and the third season of "Witch's Gathering", and many characters returned.
If you haven't watched the first and third seasons, it may be confusing to watch the eighth season directly, because the eighth season is a closing account of the two seasons, making up for many of the pits left by the original two seasons.
So I wanted to share the first season of Murder House first.
In 2011, the American FX TV station launched the first season of "American Horror Story". Among the 17 Emmy Awards, the veteran actress Jessica Lange won the Golden Globe Award and the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Part.1
Psychiatrist Ben moved from Boston to Los Angeles with his wife Vivien, daughter Violet and his family, because Ben cheated with his student Hayden during his wife Vivien's miscarriage and was caught by Vivien on the spot. In order to make up for the broken feelings, they left the sad place.
And their new home in Los Angeles is a famous haunted house that has been home to countless murders.
And the property sales candid only one of them: the previous owners, a gay couple, died tragically in the mansion.
At the same time, living next door are Constance (Aunt Lan) and her daughter Adelaide, who often come uninvited and behave strangely.
All this troubled the Ben family.
A bizarre man, Larry, who claims to be the former owner of the house with severe facial burns and disfigurement, keeps approaching Ben and keeps warning him that the house is weird.
This house also comes with a maid, Moira, who claims that he has always been a maid in this house.
In the eyes of men, she is the image of a charming young girl wearing black pantyhose and a sexy maid outfit, and she likes to tease her master; in the eyes of women, she is the image of a wrinkled old servant with one eye problem. Very familiar with the house.
As a psychiatrist, Ben, in order to be able to spend more time with his family, set up his office at home so that he can receive mental patients at home.
One of Ben's patients, Tate, is a high school student who was treated at Ben's house and met Violet (Ben's daughter) who suffered from school bullying and suffered from hypomanic depression after transferring to another school. The two fell in love.
Ben didn't realize that Tate was actually a ghost and the son of neighbor Constance.
Since the Ben family moved in, all kinds of bizarre and weird things have happened one after another, and all kinds of violent incidents have come to petition. It turns out that over the decades, there have been as many as 20 wrongful deaths in the house, and some cases are even notorious.
And the souls of those who die in this house will be forever in the house like a curse, and only Halloween can go out to the outside world.
The house has also become a famous "Haunted House" scene on local homicide tours.
The house was built in 1922 by a famous surgeon as a gift for his beautiful wife.
But the doctor became addicted to drugs shortly after moving in. Her wife, Nora, wanted a more material life, so she instructed the doctor to secretly operate on women who had unwanted pregnancies.
It was eventually retaliated by the boyfriend of one of the women, who kidnapped their son, dismembered and mailed it to the couple.
The wife couldn't accept this fact and was devastated. In order to comfort his wife, the husband restored his dismembered son with his superb surgical operation.
But the restored son became a monster.
The wife turned from shock to sadness, killed the monster son with her own hands, shot her husband to death, and finally committed suicide by drinking bullets.
Since then, the villa has been shrouded in mystery and terror. During this century, people have become homeowners, and various tragedies have been staged.
However, the Ben family is entangled in their own personal problems, big and small lies. Unaware of the actual situation at home, the ever-increasing corpses and souls who cannot leave finally erupted because of the birth of the baby.
Part.2
This season's theme is family .
This is a story about a wronged soul, and it will be very touching to see the back.
The whole series adopts a narrative technique similar to that used by Quentin and Christopher Nolan to tell stories without a timeline, and constantly uses interludes, flashbacks, and flashbacks to tell the current life and trace the past of the haunted house. Let the audience feel the context of the whole story in the reincarnation of history and the interlacing of time and space.
The most impressive is the Halloween episode (the American horror series always airs in September, weekly. There is always an episode that airs on Halloween and has a Halloween theme).
On Halloween, all the ghosts in the house can go out and fulfill their unfulfilled wishes outside.
Moira
Grandma Maid is a tragic figure this season. Raped by employer Constance's husband and caught in bed. An angry Constance shot them indiscriminately.
The ghost is now wrinkled. But in the eyes of impure men, they will still turn into a seductive and dissolute youth. ——“Women tend to see the essence, while men mostly only see what they want to see.”
She had been wanting to get out of the house, and the ghosts of the house were only allowed out on Halloween.
She could only cry silently as she watched her body be covered up by another tragedy.
Her only wish was to be reunited with her mother, but she had to end her life on Halloween.
Fortunately, in the eighth season, the maid was finally given freedom.
Adelaide
Adelaide (Constance's daughter), a girl with Down syndrome who looks ugly and behaves strangely, is the kindest and innocent person in the whole story.
Her wish was to stop being Snoopy on Halloween, but to dress up as a pretty girl.
What I got was a taunt from my mom: "Everyone told you to stay at home, even your dad, but I couldn't do that. But you know what people think when we walk down the street? (If it weren't for the mercy of God) , I will too), you make them secretly rejoice that they see me as a hero, as if I suffer voluntarily."
Tate
He lived in the tragedy of parental discord since he was a child, and faced the rotten life of his mother. He chose a devastating metamorphosis outbreak, killed 12 high school students in the school, and was shot dead at home during the siege by the police.
In the face of Violet, who is also deviant, indifferent and autistic.
She became the dawn of his dark world and his salvation.
But the two eventually drifted apart.
The love story between Violet and Tate looks bizarre and deviant, but it actually reflects the problems of teens: violence, smoking, early love, rebellion and so on.
In the eighth season of "Apocalypse", Tate's various devilish actions in the first season were also explained. (This is the biggest and most disgusting pit in the first season).
Let the couple solve their knots and misunderstandings, and finally let go of their previous suspicions.
Ben
After a series of changes, Ben chose to return to the family, and was willing to be trapped in the haunted house with the souls of his wife and daughter. He was able to see the essence of things clearly. At that time, the maid in his eyes finally returned to her old appearance.
The relationship between the parents in the film very profoundly points out the unavoidable problems in the marital relationship: cheating, boredom, and suspicion.
Constance
Aunt Lan really deserves to have won the Oscar. Every move is very dramatic, and her speech and expressions have a Hollywood style.
Constance's selfishness, selfishness, and strength are vividly interpreted.
Her possessiveness led her to kill her cheating husband and maid, leaving her middle-aged and lonely with a rotten private life. A son was born with deformities, a daughter with Down syndrome, and the only healthy son was punished for her evil deeds and developed into a perverted murderer.
But she still lived tenaciously, and from time to time she stopped by to see the ghost children next door.
In the end, he also raised the son of the devil who made waves in the eighth season.
As if cursed, the stable life she tried so hard to maintain was ruined in the end.
Part.3
Director Ryan Murphy hinted that every season of American Horror Story corresponds to a first-degree hell.
Season 1 "Murder House"
Corresponding to Hell Frontier (Lost in the Realm),
Season 2 "Mental Asylum"
Corresponding to the original crime of fraud,
Season 3 "Witches' Gathering"
Corresponding to the original sin of betrayal,
Season 4 "Freak Show"
Corresponding to the original sin of greed,
Season 5 "Hotel"
Corresponding to the original sin of gluttony,
Season 6 "Reality Show"
Corresponding to the original sin of anger,
Season 7 "Cult"
Corresponds to pagan original sin.
The Last Two Sins of the Nine Hells
"Desire" and "Violence"
Reserved for the ongoing eighth season and the renewed ninth.
Although American Horror Story changes the subject matter every season, it doesn't change the cast very often. They are all transformed by some resident actors into new and plump roles. The screenwriters also miraculously retained the characteristics of each actor, which made everyone remember it deeply. Therefore, if you watch the eighth season directly, the same actor who has played roles in several seasons may be confused.
The meaning of horror movies is to improve your anti-fear ability, so that you will no longer be frightened by your illusory imagination and face the real crisis.
Because the real horror comes from the absurd unknown & unpredictable fate of life. The scariest thing in reality is never ghosts, but people's hearts.
