Pocahontas

After reading it, I have to say that a classic is a classic!

The whole movie is good. I like the character in the wind the most, wild and natural, not like those delicate princesses, but running outside every day and jumping from the waterfall. The only bad thing is that the difficulty that the male and female protagonists can't understand the language is too easy to resolve! And on the execution ground, the chief released Smith with a word in the wind, and everyone put down their weapons. Obviously, they could say more lines. It's just that, everything else is perfect.

Today, I was forced to read the English class again and write a 150-word movie review. When I was complaining that the 150-word movie review was too few and couldn’t say anything, I became the fourth student in the university. The English teacher's attention... But it's not bad to revisit the music in it, and I wrote down the sentences I didn't understand when I watched it for a few hours, but I can't compliment it on the sequel~

[Colleague Quarantine Film Selection] Regardless of historical background, this story is just not well told. Does not rely on magic but always has a tree grandmother as a guide. The handling of manslaughter and the deceased is almost non-existent. Life and death only serve the plot, and there is no human warmth. The so-called love is not a big deal.

Pocahontas quotes

  • Governor Ratcliffe: [Thomas is staring after John Smith, who has just snuck off to see Pocahontas. Ratcliff appears behind him and pushes him out the fort] Follow him.

Thomas: [standing to attention] Yes, governor.

Governor Ratcliffe: I want to know where he's sneaking off to.

    Thomas: Yes, sir.

Governor Ratcliffe: And if you see any Indians

    [tossing Thomas a rifle]

    Governor Ratcliffe: shoot them.

[Thomas looks at the rifle uncertainly]

Governor Ratcliffe: Oh, and Thomas you've been a slipshod sailor and a poor excuse for a soldier. Don't disappoint me again.

    Thomas: [walks off, looking hurt]

  • Thomas: [Thomas aims at Kocoum and closes one eye] Both eyes open.

[he opens both eyes, fires and hits Kocoum in the chest]
