I wrote too many short reviews, it's nondescript

Forgive me, I didn't get the soul of this film, so I couldn't understand the profound meaning of it in detail. Is it about the dangers of drugs? The difficulty of drug control? Drug rampant? Apparently, the film doesn't make any point, it just gently dials the well-known point about drugs, telling us that this thing can't be removed, don't waste your energy, I'll fuck it, You have to express this, you are still not enough! This film is too nondescript, so this kind of thing is destined to not win awards! Take the simplest example. You have to make a short film about cooking, you focus on the role of salt in a dish, and you can make it happen. You say that you can put a little bit of each ingredient to bring together various flavors, and you can achieve it. Your focus on top-quality ingredients is a prerequisite for deliciousness, and you can achieve it. If you fancy the heat, you can be wonderful, even if you are talking about kitchen utensils and tableware, you will be able to attract attention. Only, you say that these are all very important, then what you do is really unimportant, and then you are not finished, you go around in circles and add one more thing, saying that the food is actually cooked well or not at all. Important, nutrition is the most important. But before we can fully appreciate how inexplicable you are, you said again, in fact, it doesn't matter whether the food is good or not, it doesn't matter whether you eat it or not, you will die sooner or later. You're so brainwashed. If it wasn't for the Douglas couple, I wouldn't give this movie a 6.

Great script, the tones are interesting. Although I don't really like the tone of his narrative.

Soderbergh's ambitious, multi-clue, multi-character narrative. Just like the Internet, many people are indirectly involved because of drugs. The proliferation of drugs in the United States is almost shocking, especially for minors and even high school students. The erosion of college students is even more worrying. The picture style of the film is extremely remarkable. Different pictures are used to present the two parts of the story of the United States and Mexico. The hand-held shoulder photography adds to the free documentary style of the film.

Traffic quotes

  • Jeff Sheridan: [to Robert] I know everyone that you're going to meet. I know what they want and why.

  • Robert Wakefield: Well you've done a fine job, General. The Office of National Drug Control Policy is in better shape than when you found it.

General Ralph Landry: I'm not sure I made the slightest difference. I tried. I really did.
