Some common tragic themes. Lack of family warmth since childhood. discriminated against by peers. My favorite woman turned out to be a shopaholic. The woman you love dies. I can't forget that woman for a long time.
But that's not what moved me.
What struck me the most about the film was the way it was shot. Most of the time, the narrator explains the plot and the inner thoughts of the protagonist (this is very Wong Kar-wai). I don't know if there are 30 lines of dialogue from all the actors in the whole film. They were either too moved to speak, or too sad to speak. It seems that there is no suitable adjective in the world to describe their inner feelings. It seems that these kinds of regrets can only be understood by people at that time. So, they don't have to explain it to the world. The long silence brings compromise, regret, and loneliness, which makes the feeling of loneliness continue to circulate, highlighting the helplessness of the protagonists.
I love such quiet, bland movies. very real.
