Three lines that touch the soul

There are three lines in the play that make me deeply touched:
First, the psychology professor Sean said to Will, a very shocking line:
You are just a child, you don't know what you are talking about.
When you ask about art, you might raise the rough arguments in art books. You know a lot about Michelangelo. His political enthusiasm, his friendship with the Pope, and his indulge in sex, you know him well, right? ? But do you know the smell of Sistine Chapel? Have you ever tried to stand there and look up at the famous painting on the ceiling? You must have never seen it?
If I ask about women, you can tell me as much as you can. You may have been in bed several times, but you can't tell the true joy of waking up next to a woman.
You are young and sturdy, if I talk to you about war, you might throw Shakespeare to me and recite "Go to the battlefield together, dear friend", but you have never been in battle, and you have never tried to swarm your close friends. In his arms, watching him take his last breath, staring at you, and asking you for help.
I ask you what is love. You may sing the wind and make the moon, but you have never tried to be fully committed and sincerely pour out. When you exchange your eyes, you understand each other’s heart. Saved from the abyss of hell, you have never tried to feel caring for her in every way, you have never tried to stay together with her love and money, knowing that she is terminally ill, you will not hesitate, you have never tried pain The feeling of losing love...
Will is extremely smart, but he is still a child. Most of what he knows comes from books, and many things have not been felt, so when he says those things that hurt people, he doesn't care, and therefore Sean I forgive him.
Words can sting a person. When you are ignorant, don't talk harshly. You are still a child, so I forgive you, but people always have to grow up.
Second, Chuck is on the construction site. What Er said:
I pick you up at your house every day, we go out to drink and laugh, that’s great, but the best moment of my day is only ten seconds, from parking to your door, every time I knock on the door, I hope you No longer, don’t say goodbye, there is nothing, you leave, I don’t know much, but I know very well.
It is so precious to have a friend who can encourage and support yourself to go your own way. Cherish every friend around you who treats you sincerely. Good friends can really benefit yourself a lot. The
third is Sean. What I said to Will: It's not your fault, it's not your fault, it's not your fault...
Corresponding to the previous you are just a child, your misfortune is not your fault, you should not escape, open your heart, and forgive Self, accept yourself, go to the future, to achieve self-growth.

Good Will Hunting quotes

  • Lambeau: You're angry at me for doing what you could have done; but ask yourself, Sean. Ask yourself if you want Will to feel that way, if you want him to feel like a failure.

Sean: Oh, you arrogant shit! That's why I don't come to the goddamned reunions, 'cause I can't stand that look in your eye. Ya know, that condescending, embarrassed look. You think I'm a failure. I know who I am, and I'm proud of what I do. I was a conscientious choice, I didn't fuck up! And you and your cronies think I'm some sort of pity case. You and your kiss-ass chorus following you around going, "The Fields Medal! The Fields Medal!" Why are you still so fuckin' afraid of failure?

  • Chuckie: [in a bar] I didn't get on Cathy last night.

    Will: No?

    Chuckie: Nah.

    Will: Why not?

    Chuckie: I don't know.

    [yells across room]

    Chuckie: Cathy!

    Cathy: What?

Chuckie: Why didn't you give me none of that nasty little hoochie-woochie you usually throw at me?

Cathy: Oh, fuck you and your Irish curse, Chuckie. Like I'd waste my energy spreading my legs for that Tootsie Roll dick? So go home and give it a tug yourself.
