fun movie to watch

Saw National Treasure tonight. Excellent popcorn movie!!
It was fun, action-filled and mindless, exactly what you would expect from a Jerry Bruckheimer movie. I've always had a thing for treasure hunt movies, like Indiana Jones. Ever since I saw Nicolas Cage at the studio lot filming this movie, I've always wanted to see it. Yes! I saw him dressed in a tux on my way to lunch more than half a year ago. He was actually not as tall as I expected ! :)

Anyways, the movie is about a treasure map that's hidden behind the Declaration of Independence. The dialogs are cheesy at times, but fun nonetheless. I got really anxious towards the end as they got closer and closer to the treasure. Can' t tell you how it ends, but let's just say that the ending was very satisfying for me.

National Treasure quotes

  • Ben Gates: [upset] I just... really thought I was gonna find the treasure.

Patrick Gates: Okay. Then we just keep looking for it.

    Abigail Chase: I'm in.

  • Powell: [referring to the underground staircase] How do a bunch of guys with hand tools build all this?

Ben Gates: Same way they built the pyramids - and the Great Wall of China.

Riley Poole: Yeah... the aliens helped them.
