Maybe because of being a girl, I don't have much preference for action movies. After watching this legendary classic movie, I really agree that this is a great movie. But what impressed me the most was not the action elements and adventure plot, but the general Hammer who was so broken and died with hatred.
With lofty ideals, soldiers swear allegiance to the motherland to the death, even if they are engaged in secret missions of the government in a difficult environment. But because the government denied these secret missions, those soldiers who died for the country became secrets: there was no government recognition, no military funerals, no pensions, and even their family members did not have a death truth. General Hammer made this ruined decision in front of his wife's tombstone: stealing chemical gas missiles and kidnapping hostages to threaten the government to give these soldiers a sum of money.
Once the missile is launched, millions of people in San Francisco will be killed. The frightening thing is that government departments have been trying to dissolve the poisonous gas and dismantle the missiles from beginning to end, and even finally the president ordered the bombing of Alcatraz Island without any thought of giving money.
One hundred million U.S. dollars is a huge amount, but for a government that dominates the world, it is not that difficult.
However, things have nothing to do with the amount of money. Someone stealing missiles to kidnap hostages to blackmail the government is a form of terrorism, and a just government must never bow to terrorism. Even if the missile is aimed at millions of people in San Francisco, even if the most bombing of Alcatraz Island will cost dozens of hostages and the soldiers on the island.
The government is justice, and loyal soldiers are just pawns for politicians.
Isn't Hansen the same fate? As a top spy in Britain, after being captured, the British government did not recognize his identity, so he was imprisoned by the United States for decades. Could the motherland he was loyal to save him?
General Hammer was not a demon. He changed the trajectory after the missile was launched, and the missile eventually sank into the sea. He frankly frightened the government, but the government didn't pay the bill, so the mission ended.
A line from the President: "The past few hours have been the longest and darkest moments in my life. How should human lives be evaluated? One million citizens and 81 hostages, as well as Frank Hammer, we ignored and abandoned , Great fighters like Hanmer, those soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the country but have been neglected, are equally real and equally sad."
I think the government headed by the president finally knows to reflect on it, and it is not too late to make up for it. Now it’s a happy ending to transfer money and apologize to General Hammer. However, I think too much. The President went on to say: "We declare war on terrorism, and there will be casualties in the war. This is the most difficult decision I have ever made. Approve the air strikes."
High-sounding hypocrisy and hypocrisy.
I couldn't help crying when General Hammer was betrayed by his obsessive companion and died with hatred.
Think of a piece of lyrics:
Yu Da Lihua closed the door deeply, and Yan Ni had already lost the dust. I hope you are the guest who knows the kindness and righteousness, not the foolish person.
A cavity of blood, not a human being entrusted. Hate, hate, hate!
