be a good-looking adult

After watching this film, I had a very strange feeling. Because I like all the bad guys here, and I'm annoyed by the good guys here.

Just like Nucky, who sells alcohol illegally, makes black money, and raises mistresses, the great image created in front of people is very different from what he looks like in private. But we like him a lot, we can't say he's a beast. We saw him being smart, vicious, taking advantage of others, and doing business by unscrupulous means, but we also saw him generously helping people who were weaker than him, such as giving money to widows and black maids who wanted to poison Jimmy's father, Let her go away, Goo Fei, go incognito and don't come back. He didn't run the business, he didn't earn the money, and there were other people doing it. Maybe his ability was not as strong as his, and his heart was not as good as his. We can't define him as a good guy, a selfless guy, but he's not a downright bad guy either. He is just a person who has the ability to make money, has the ability to fight for benefits, and can make his life look good. Jimmy said, it was out of guilt that you took care of me like this for so many years. Guilt and responsibility, he said. Jimmy said, I thought it was love. He also just said, Jimmy, you're not my son after all.

And Nelson, the Prohibition Commissioner, I really annoyed him. This person is always under the banner of serving the people and upholding justice. Moral commanding heights, occupy the old high. But no one can know his starting point, whether it is to benefit the people or not. Anyway, I didn't quite see the sincerity. He is more like to get rid of his incompetent status as a vegetable farmer before, and wants to get ahead. He killed his partner for a not-so-big thing, and slept with Nucky's mistress in order to find out. Sometimes we are very annoying to good people. They don’t have the ability to live beautifully, so they keep saying that they want to make efforts for everyone to live beautifully. It's like a show selling integrity. Good guy, not so good. Many things cannot be accomplished with good intentions. Often times, foolishness and ignorance cannot be concealed under the mask of a good person. As adults, we don't need good people who worry about us all day long, we need a smart partner.

Ah yes, the woman in the show, I don't think the widow is charming enough. In my eyes, she is a little too serious, and she is not as serious as she thinks. In contrast, I really love my mother. This woman is smart, happy, and charming. It belongs to no one, only to herself. Super smart and super charming! love her to death.

Emotional villain. The heroine is really beautiful before delivering the bread. A vulgar flamboyant scarlet in the cake, a pale green on the stairs. He looked up, just as you were standing there. They watched it five or six times the night they were together, and life after that was unremarkable. I really like this old man, eyes, cigarette case, leather shoes, sea, figure. I like the masked man and feel it is worth entrusting. The ending song is lovely. The sunset and the sea seem to be full of hope.

The retro visual enjoyment, the restoration and enrichment of historical characters, and the most important thing is the plot with tension.

Carolyn Rothstein: Arnold, a Nucky Thompson on the telephone.

Arnold Rothstein: I'll take it in here, darling.

Carolyn Rothstein: [about his diet, with a smile] How's that stomach?

Arnold Rothstein: It's still a little tentative.

Carolyn Rothstein: So much apple bread.

Arnold Rothstein: [laughs lightly] It has a binding effect.

Carolyn Rothstein: Is that the best thing right now?

Arnold Rothstein: A sound elimination is the basis of good health.
