Closer—so close. so far away

I was looking forward to the movie "Seductive".

Natalie Portman and Clive Owen both won supporting actor and actress awards. It's not surprising that they won awards for their acting skills, but it's actually not appropriate to win supporting actor awards. It's not fair to say that the two are supporting roles because of their roles, but their fame was compared to Jude Law and Julia Roberts, who had similar roles, and they were demoted to supporting roles. In fact, in terms of storytelling, the protagonist of the first and last echoes is actually the role of Natalie Portman.

Although the filming was smooth, the actors performed well. But when I left the movie theater, I felt a little dazed in my heart and felt that something was lacking. The movie didn't impress me.

What exactly is lacking? Could it be that it is a little different from ordinary movies because of the stage adaptation? It doesn't seem to be, it should be something more essential that is missing. After thinking about it for a long time, I realized that what was lacking in a romantic movie about love relationship turned out to be love.

※ ※ Warning: The following content includes the description of the movie's plot ※ ※ The

four people, the four-corner relationship, except for desire and possessiveness, there is no love or even affection. The photographer intended to avoid becoming a third party, using the doctor as a lifebuoy and marrying him, but was unable to resist the temptation of the writer. The writer is full of "I love you" lies. He doesn't necessarily have love for photographers and strippers. He ditched strippers for the photographer, but the photographer wanted to eat back when he returned to the doctor. The stripper used a pseudonym she picked up for her writer boyfriend of several years, but reported her real name to the doctor who came to buy a laugh. The doctor looked for erotic fast food on the Internet, and accidentally came across the photographer, but after marriage, she seemed to have only sexual desire and possessiveness.

Everyone in the play did not love each other, and they all hurt each other when they separated. Everyone sleeps together and is close to each other, but apart from sex, desire, guilt, and revenge, there is no spiritual communication; the distance between each person is like standing on different planets, holding The walkie-talkie communicates with lies and falsehoods to sting the other party.

The title of the movie is Closer, which seems to be more ironic. In the end, the stripper returns to the United States with her real identity. The writer returns to the lonely single life at the beginning of the film. Although the doctor and the photographer start anew, the ending scene feels like a different dream. Going around in circles, it turns out that in the end, no one was close to anyone, and there was no get closer.
