The courage to face life comes from the love in my heart

I saw the introduction of the novel "The Story of Your Life" on the Sanlian before, and it also marked that you must go to see it. However, before the novel has been read, the movie will be watched first. When I selected the film for the London Film Festival online, I didn't know that it was an adaptation of a novel, it was just for science fiction. However, my scalp is numb 85% of the time during the movie.

With the principle of not being spoiled, I will just write my thoughts casually. Whatever is written.

Because I love sci-fi with moderate softness and hardness (too soft logic can't stand up, nor too hard to understand, it's so hypocritical), this film is simply too appetizing for me. And because my mother is studying linguistics, there is a kind of intimacy that naturally comes to my heart when watching the film. I am also delighted that women and liberal arts scholars finally played such a decisive role when aliens descended on the earth. And when I saw that the title of the heroine was not a professor but a Ph.D., I wanted to thank the director, screenwriter and author for giving us young scholars a glimmer of hope: publishing a book is not difficult, just have aliens!

Although I did not read the novel, it can be seen from the title that the movie must have enlarged the part of the alien, but on the whole it retains the logic of the main line of the daughter in the novel. The shocking effect (scalp tingling) of the interspersed timeline presented in the film is also due to the heroine's timeless face. It's not that she has always looked young, but that she has always looked like she doesn't know how old she is. It's OK to say that she is 29, and some people believe that she is 41.

Another big reason I like this movie is because I think the logic between good science fiction works is the same. For example, in this sci-fi work, I found an explanation of how humans transcend themselves and evolve into a five-dimensional space in Interstellar Transition. In this circular space-time in the film, everything is possible. In other words, we are the big black monster, and the big black monster is us. This idea is very philosophical, because it eliminates the opposition between subject and object. There is no "other" in this world. This is also reflected in the film in which people from all over the world have joined hands and no longer engage in gangs.

And in the very idealized bridge segment of global integration, "Arrival" can be described as a few shots of the warmest image of China in American movies. At the beginning I was still sighing that such a good film could not escape the distortion of the East. However, in the orange vision of the future, in the warm eyes of the Chinese general, I felt that the original novel Chinese writer wanted to express the kind of consummation in Eastern philosophy that the Chinese writer wanted to express. It was successfully expressed on the screen by the director of the film.

The moment when the movie hit my heart at the end is the look in the eyes of the heroine looking at her future husband. It was a look that knew the truth of life but was still full of affection. This is not only her power, but also the power of human beings: knowing that she is going to die, but still living hard. "Death is a part of life, not the opposition of life."

This shocking plot and powerful brain make us still at 20+ enjoy watching it, but for viewers who have experienced the same experience, it may be a different taste. Would you still choose to give birth to her/him if you knew that your child would die from a congenital disease? Knowing that your lover will leave you, do you still choose to be together without hesitation? The heroine's bravery seems so unreal in the face of the fragility of human nature.

At the end of the film, a man sitting on my left whispered, and I caught a glimpse of him repeatedly deleting and sending the same message. Originally, I wanted to cry, but because we were sitting too close for fear of misunderstanding, I just resisted crying. I wanted to pass him a tissue and ask if you are okay. But after searching for a long time, I only found the brown recycled paper from the Wasabi family. I left in a very embarrassing atmosphere. What did he think of? Ex-wife? Ex-husband (I'm not making fun...)? The dead child? I have no chance to know if I didn't take out the soft tissue in time.

Walking out of the theater, the sun was shining, and Leicester Square was still noisy. However, I looked very confused in the crowd. I originally planned to watch a movie happily and then buy some frozen dumplings in the Supermarket, but at the moment I just want to send a message to my parents and boyfriend [group sending]: thank you for your secular love. You make me believe I deserve it .
