This film review made me not want to watch this movie again because the spoilers were too serious. Later, when I watched the first half, I was not very emotional, but it was precisely this completely nonsense comment that made me more and more confused. How did it feel that something was wrong? Until the end, the ending revealed was completely different from this film review, but it made me feel even more shocked.
The greatest joy of this story is that most of the content is derived from the suspect's own dictation.
For a real deceitful performer, what he said is naturally three-point false and seven-point true, in order to achieve the effect of false and true. It can't be all lies, just call out the lies, and the rest is basically the truth.
First of all, this story has two premises. Without these two premises, nothing can be talked about.
The first one, Jinte’s triple disguise:
①Familiarity and tone. He has always been acting only on the promise and obedient to his fate. A typical follower, he has no great prospects in his entire life. From the side, it can be said that this is an honest person, the boss eats meat, he just wants to have a mouthful of soup. . Can commit crimes, but rarely commit major crimes, and generally are accomplices.
② Physical disability. Cripple, cramps in the left hand (I don't know what the disease is, the left hand is abnormal anyway). Physical disability often makes people feel inferior. Not to mention being treated unfairly. Some people even think that their dignity has been violated if they don’t enjoy the tolerance that normal people should have to the disabled... This is all manifestations of inferiority. . . .
Because of my inferiority complex, it is extremely easy to worship those who are powerful and physically strong (to Keaton). With this kind of feeling, it is equivalent to a fan, who will subjectively think that his idol is a good person, who is affectionate to his girlfriend and righteous to his brothers.
③ Nicknamed "Mr. Saliva". Popular explanations are ridiculous, and they are all nonsense.
These three kinds of disguise make him a trash, stupid, useless person, and low-powered person in the eyes of most people.
The second is the paranoia of the police.
The police officer who was interrogating had a paranoid attitude towards Keaton in the 5-member squad.
This is because he has had a lot of dealings with Keaton, knowing that this is a cunning like a fox, cruel like a wolf, cold-blooded and vicious executioner.
Therefore, in this case, he had already thought subjectively that with a 99.99% chance, Keaton was behind the scenes. Keaton is playing his old "fake death" trick again.
With such a preconceived attitude to try the case, it is strange that he can get the truth.
============Dividing line===================
The true and false of the story.
At the end of the opening, it must be true, because it is the director's shot and objective description.
Because of the incident of a pistol parts car being robbed, five powerful criminals were gathered together for identification. Afterwards, he was locked in the same room. Among them, Keaton, the strongest person on the surface, obviously felt something was wrong, because he used to be a policeman and knew everything about police practices. Such as 5 people like them, absolutely cannot be locked together. Usually one person, together with 4 homeless men who spend 10 yuan a day, are kept together.
Sure enough, five people quickly talked about crime. Only Keaton, he realized what was wrong, and was unwilling to participate.
The real behind-the-scenes boss Jinte, the apparently wasteful'Mr. Drool', had to go to Keaton's house to persuade him for this. This conversation process may not look like it was played. (①Fake)
Because the police are preconceived, they think that Mr. Saliva is the kind of person who worships Keaton, and the brainless thinks Keaton is a kind and righteous person. Therefore, Keaton became such a person in the story woven by Gint.
In short, in the end, Mr. Slobber really convinced Keaton.
Five people successfully robbed the taxi of the corrupt police. Take away some cash and valuable jewelry.
------------------
Subsequently, the five people came to Los Angeles to find Redford to sell the stolen goods. Keaton apparently heard about this man as well. He said that he had killed his boss, but the two did not become enemies. (These should all be true, except for the person's name)
Redford introduced them to another business, which was also to grab a jeweler, a lot of jewelry, and a lot of cash.
Keaton, who had originally sensed something wrong, exposed his greedy nature after tasting the sweetness, and decided to do it one last time. All this is within the plan of the real Mr. Drool behind the scenes. (He has mastered the life resumes of the other four people. Naturally, they know what their personalities are.)
Only this time they robbed Da Louzi. This is not a jeweler at all, and a drug dealer.
The cripple'Mr. Drool' Gint killed the drug dealer. This should be the first very obvious doubt in the early stage: the cripple’s criminal record is undoubtedly more pediatrics than the other four murderers, fraud, and sentenced to three months and suspended. Moreover, his image has always been a waste, a follower, and he is also known as the slobbering Mr. Slobber, and his inconvenient legs and feet are despised by others.
Such a person dared to shoot a headshot at others. I think this is a very strange thing.
---------------------------------
Five people realized that they had been fooled. In the conversation with Redford, they realized that It turned out that the other party was also commissioned by a lawyer named'Xiao Lin', and had no knowledge of this matter.
Soon, the five people met with Attorney Kobayashi. Attorney Kobayashi called himself "Caesarsus" to work. In fact, it was Mr. Gint of Drool. He could only say that the two played so well that they deceived the other four people.
Kobayashi asked them to burn down a freighter with 91 million US dollars and equivalent drugs on board. The drugs must be destroyed, and they can take away the dollars.
It turned out that Caesarsus had fought with the people of the Argentine Party in the drug market and won in the end. The people of the Argentine Party wanted to make a comeback, so they had this deal. Caesarsus wanted to stop.
This is very dangerous. There are twenty or thirty militants on board. One of the 5 people, Fanster (small eyebrows and small eyes), ran away with money that night. The next day, the other four people were very angry and decided to find him to teach him a lesson, but in the evening they were told by Attorney Xiaolin that this person had been dealt with.
The four rushed to Fanster's body and buried it. As Keaton said, not for anyone. It's just for myself, I don't want to suffer such a mercy. So the four of them decided to get rid of Kobayashi.
--------------------------
At the place where Kobayashi works, they are preparing to get rid of him. Kobayashi suddenly said that Keaton's lover, Ms. Edie, was in this building and was about to talk to him about business.
If this was the case, Lawyer Kobayashi regained the initiative and threatened four people. 4 people had to do so.
Immediately afterwards, came the ship battle on the second day. Note that the first half of this ship battle is narrated by Gint and the second half is narrated by the police.
The first half: The
four people are in their respective positions. Keaton is the strongest. He takes the initiative to appear next to him, talk to him, and confuse him. Mcmanus is a sniper, responsible for covering Keaton. Hockney is an expert in explosions, and his detonation caused chaos and spurred the battle.
Here comes Gint's first big lie: Keaton asks him to stay where he is. And he originally wanted to protect... who didn't say the specific protection, the fact is that he wanted to protect Hockney (explosion expert). If everyone is dead, let him take the 91 million dollars of the transaction and run quickly to find Yidi (a female lawyer). Yidi knows many people and can solve this matter. (False ②)
Keaton’s personality is described below. But the whole should be ruthless and unjust. He had no reason to take risks on his own and let the cripple sit back and enjoy it. Even with money and a woman, one piece was given to such a waste, he couldn't do that.
The cripple is actually going to perform his task: to assist the explosion expert Hockney.
There are obviously two reasons why the cripple is telling a lie here.
The first article is in line with Keaton's image in the mind of a cripple that the police believes: He is affectionate and righteous to his brother. I would rather die myself, or give my brother money to send my girlfriend.
Second, let him escape from the following gunfight. He was a coward and a bystander. He stayed there until he finally drove and saw a man in a trench coat killed Keaton.
-------------------------------
Next is the explosion expert, the death of Hockney. Hockney took advantage of the chaos of the enemy and us, and cleverly killed the guard watching the car. After seeing a car of banknotes, he smiled with joy. Isn't it the money for you to work so hard?
At this time, a voice suddenly sounded: "Hello!"
This hello didn't have any joyful or joyful tone at all, but rather a low-pitched whisper. Under the calm voice, there is an indifference to life. . . So, this is by no means Hockney saying hello to those banknotes.
Approaching, Hockney was shot. He heard who said the Hello, and the voice was very familiar. And in the gun battle, there was only one person who had been following him and covering him: Mr. Saliva, Gint.
Therefore, his face was full of incredible, and his eyes were full of doubts. After turning around, there was no expression of shock, because he already knew who the murderer was. When he turned around, he wanted to ask: Why...Although he didn't ask, he fell to the ground.
This is true, and this story is interspersed with Gint's narration. However, in Gint's story, he was still timid and hiding in place, not daring to show his head. So, this is the real shot the director wants to tell the audience.
Gint wanted to kill Hockney at this time because he was going to kill everyone on the ship. This is a good time to kill Hockney.
----------------------
Immediately after entering reality, the police officer learned about'Arturro Marquez' (referred to as Artur).
Atu is the main thread of this story, although it is only a small supporting role, but from the beginning of the story, it is for him.
Atu was originally an Argentine smuggler. He was caught smuggling in New York, then ran away and was caught again. Then arranged for him to be extradited back to China, but he ran away again.
He was very afraid of going to jail. When he was arrested, he reached an agreement with the US Department of Justice and was willing to become a police informant. Provides a lot of information, including a list of nearly 50 people.
The last on this list is his boss, Caesars. He said he had not only seen Caesarssus, but he could identify it. He also knows all the business of the other party, including drug trafficking, murder and so on.
It's just that the sky is not as good as the people. He was finally betrayed by his own men and wanted to sell him to the Hungarian Party.
Caesarssus had a deep hatred with the Hungarian Party, and the Hungarian Party wanted to use Attu to convict Caesarssus and bring him down.
Therefore, the transaction on the freighter was that the Hungarians spent 91 million US dollars to buy the Attu.
Caesarssus knew about this, so naturally he would not sit back and wait for death. Using his energy, he gathered four other people first and came to a police station for identification. Then gradually introduce them into the incident of the freighter gunfight.
-----------------------------------After the
police learned about Attu, they knew that the cripple had something to hide, and said lie. Because there are no drugs at all, the content of the transaction is not like what the cripple said.
So, the police began to talk about the second half:
Mcmanus and Keaton were extremely brave and killed the people on the boat, only to find that there was no drugs on the boat. At this time, Attu was also killed by the real behind-the-scenes "Caesarsus".
The lame man limped, carried his gun, twisted his hands, and finally had the courage to rush to the freighter. But Keaton, who came out of the freighter, saw him immediately and gave him a gesture to ask him to drive quickly. He got in the car and found that he didn't have the key. When he got out of the car and looked for the key, he saw Keaton squatting on the ground and looking at Mcmanus, who was shot in the back by a throwing knife. He was suddenly shot by a man in a windbreaker.
The lame was very panicked and hid. Through the gap, although he couldn't see Keaton's person, he saw the man in the windbreaker fired two shots in the direction where Keaton fell. (Fake ③)
The scene of the lame man was originally a scene that the police had imagined based on his confession. The real cripple at this time is naturally the man in the trench coat.
-----------------------------
However, this subjective description of the police still disrupted Gint's plan.
He just admitted the existence of Caesarsus in a conversation with the police. But in the confession, he said that he did not know who the man in the trench coat was.
In fact, all this was triggered because Attu's body was not burned by the fire, but floated on the sea and was found.
In this regard, the police have determined that there are no drugs on board, and the cripple still insists on having drugs. Therefore, the police knew that this kid must have lied and concealed something.
However, the subjectivity and paranoia of the police prevented him from getting one step closer to the truth. Instead, he went further and further in his paranoia towards Keaton.
With this premise, the cripple's acting skills successfully deceived the police.
In the end, the police stubbornly believed that Keaton was Caesars. The reason why he planned such a freighter gun battle was to kill Attu himself in order to avoid future troubles. Because Keaton was a police officer, he was able to arrange the initial police station identification incident and gathered 5 people.
The police believed that Keaton used these four people and killed his lover Edie. In the end, the cripple escaped because he was lame and stupid. Keaton wanted to play the trick of'fake death', and he would definitely need such a person to tell the story to the police. Once the cripple leaves the police station, he will be ruthlessly silenced.
The cripple heard the police say this, so he naturally wrote down according to the other party's meaning: Yes, he led the hijacking of the police car (taxi), and we have always followed Keaton...
and then wept bitterly, making people mistakenly think This is a poor bug being used by others.
In the end, the police said that as long as he was willing to retract his confession, he would be protected by the police. No matter how great Keaton was, he couldn't stop talking at the police station.
The cripple refused without hesitation, and said that even if he went out, he would be killed by his boss and idol. He would never be a bait, and he would never be a traitor. He even broke a foul language: fucking cops! Express your dissatisfaction with the other party for exposing the ugly face of your idol, breaking your own fantasy, and being used by idols, etc.! Full of Loser expression.
It can only be said that this kind of performance is really superb. Even if this is based on the preconceived and paranoid idea of the police.
Ending: The police finally found something wrong.
The quartet, the baritone fat man, Guatemala (coffee), Redford (the stolen seller), etc., are all the contents of the newspaper on the wall of this house... Even the name of the lawyer, Xiaolin, is in English on the bottom of the teacup.
He was tricked, but what can he do? He's gone.
--------------------------
Finally, let's talk about Keaton.
Keaton is Gint's blindfold. What is the real Keaton like? Only the beginning of the film is real. He smoked a cigarette with a look of despair, lit the oil line, but was wiped out by Caesarsus' pee. The two said two unnutritious words, and then they were shot by the other side.
The Keaton described by Gent is a loving and righteous person who is affectionate to his lover and righteous to his brothers. However, this is what the police think Keaton should have in his mind based on Gent's character.
Relatively speaking, Keaton in the police's mind, although somewhat paranoid, is more credible.
①Before the police force was dismissed, he was charged with seven crimes and three of them were charged with murder. But every time either the witness withdraws the confession, or the witness is killed.
②Finally, he was convicted and imprisoned. During the five years in prison, three prisoners died, and he should have killed them all (no evidence).
③ Keaton died once. When investigating a murder of a witness, he went into the warehouse to check the gas, and an explosion occurred. Two people witnessed this. Three months later, the two men also died. One committed suicide in the car and the other fell from the elevator and died.
This was described by the police, some with evidence, and some without evidence. But many coincidences are no longer coincidences. Basically everyone will agree that these things are what he did.
Therefore, the real Keaton should be one: cunning like a fox, cruel like a wolf, cold-blooded executioner.
People like him are definitely not what the film and television describe. But it is precisely this kind of person who is qualified to be a scapegoat for Caesarsus.
-------------------
Writing so much, because I have a bad memory now. Just in case you want to watch it later, it is convenient to watch the movie.
