Look out more

"2001 A Space Odyssey" was born in 1968. Before it, humans entered space for the first time, and after it, humans landed on the moon for the first time. That was the era of space. Human beings looked beyond light years, actively explored extraterrestrial civilizations, and produced great ideas and technologies at all times.

But we all know that that era came not because humans suddenly cared about the starry sky above their heads, but because of the Cold War.

There is a scene in the movie: Inspired by Blackstone, humans learn to use tools, and then the first thing they do is to blow up the heads of the same kind who compete with them for water. Many commentators therefore believe that the selfishness and cruelty of human beings are innate, carried in their DNA, and cannot be changed by a dog.

Has anyone thought that the selfishness and cruelty of human beings may not come from genes, but because of the narrowing of human life and the surrounding environment?

Water is just such a little bit of water, I don’t have to drink it if you drink it. And everyone's life form is so beating, it can't live without water. Survival is also the fundamental need of life. When the three met together, only the fight was fought. In other words, it may not be that human beings are inherently selfish and cruel, but because of the limitations of their own life forms and the surrounding environment, they have to be selfish, cruel, and contentious.

If it's not for arguing about something, who wants to start a war? Who doesn't want to lie at home all day and watch "Friends"? Isn't it because there is no way? I have to live, right? But that's what the external environment can provide. Don't grab it? As long as you can, don't grab it.

Humans are ugly. why? Because human beings are restricted all the time. Limitations of one's own life form, limitation of ability, limitation of consciousness, limitation of knowledge, limitation of living environment...Because of limitation, it is small, so ugly-all ugliness is due to smallness in the final analysis, only big can Produce goodness.

Both bones and spaceships are just human tools. Through tools, humans continue to extend their bodies, abilities, knowledge, consciousness and living environment, and strive to pursue infinite time, infinite space, and infinite life. Only by being big can we eliminate the ugliness and preserve the beauty.

At the end of the movie, a new human life was born, or in other words, human beings have acquired a new life form. Through novels and movie sequels, we know that this new life form is invisible and colorless, and exists purely in the form of energy. In this way, human beings have finally got rid of the shackles of this low-level life form, and are no longer bound by time and space. There is no need to fight for survival and no longer push for narrowing.

Associated with the background of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, people can't help but make such guesses about Kubrick's creative intentions: If you don't want to fight anymore, when will the trouble be? Hear what the brother said, and look out more, the answer may be there. Have eaten it before, that is different.

The pioneering work of modern science fiction films, the philosophical films of the evolution of civilization, the epic of the epic. Compared with the vast universe, the smallness of mankind deepens our thinking about our own destiny. When the chromatic movement is played, the thinking of life roams in the universe with no beginning and no end, reaching out to the infinite unknown, exploring the ultimate meaning. The great movie is immortal, and the great Kubrick is immortal.
