Salvation

Life is a prison, and there is a prison in the prison, and the deepest prison is the despair and perdition in your heart. Institutionalization, brainwashing, and despair. There are 10,000 ways for people to lose their souls. There is only one way to win a glimmer of light: resistance. Fight against all violations, fight against the prison in your heart, fight against the institutionalization of the hopeless walking dead, fight against the passing of time. Do things that are effective for yourself, understand the power and wisdom that time bestows, and perceive the despair that time brings, so that you can fight against the clock and waste a little bit of time.

"There is hope in life", there is nothing wrong with it, when Lao Bo committed suicide I was thinking that he should go back to prison to spend the rest of his days, but when Andy finally got out, it was so beautiful, man, really You have to have hope to live happily and bravely. When I was disappointed, I remembered this film, and I remembered how hard he tried to get out, and I felt that I could break out of the siege and stand up again. It was really inspirational.

Because in 1994, Taiwan introduced a relatively popular old film The Sting, which was mistranslated into "Stimulation". When the film was released in 1995, the film maker felt that its plot was similar to "Stimulation" (probably both belonged to the revenge of high IQ?), so it was translated into "Stimulation 1995". In 1998, there was another film Return To. Paradise was translated into "Excitement 1998" because of the prison plot!

The Shawshank Redemption quotes

  • Red: [Narrating] There must be a con like me in every prison in America. I'm the guy who can get if for you; cigarettes, a bag of reefer, if that's your thing, a bottle of brandy to celebrate your kid's high school graduation, damn near anything within reason. Yes sir, I'm a regular Sears and Roebuck.

  • Andy Dufresne: ...or come to think of it, I suppose I could set it up for you. That would save you some money. I'll write down the forms you need, you can pick them up, and I'll prepare them for your signature... nearly free of charge... I'd only ask three beers apiece for my co-workers, if that seems fair. I think a man working outdoors feels more like a man if he can have a bottle of suds. That's only my opinion.
