I finished watching this movie on a night of headache and drowsiness. In the past few days, I felt so tired that my eyes were so dry that I couldn't open my eyes for the first 30 minutes, and I fell asleep when I was so tired. But with the high-speed switching of the film, the more radical music, the sleepiness gradually dissipated, and he woke up heavy and painful. Like the Chinese title of a movie, "Mengzhi Requiem", the five words give people peace and calmly impact and penetrate the soul.
Harry, his black friend Tyrone, and his girlfriend Marion, who got nothing done, have ideals in their hearts, but their young lives were abandoned due to drug addiction. Harry's mother Sara, from a hopeless middle-aged woman who was initially obsessed with food and TV shows, she finally became a hopeless mental illness. The process of life from flourishing to depletion is all presented through the lens.
The director is the creator, and the actor is the shaper, expressing and conveying through photography. The fast switching of the picture, the rapid change of angle of view, fisheye lens, multiple exposures, and close-ups of white powder, rising bubbles, floating cells, and dilated pupils that are constantly replayed. Every frame that is mixed together is a dreamscape. The protagonist, thinking carefully and terribly, hit the nail on the head.
The theme of the movie has nothing to do with drugs and addiction. Poison is desire, addiction is greed, it is something that a person will have in his life, hidden by the soul. If they are endless, it's not because reality is always disappointing. But the will is never vulnerable, and the soul cannot be easily defeated. Movies shock people who have had similar experiences and remind others to stay awake at all times.
When Harry used to be ambitious and motivated to succeed, now he is decadent and depressed. The skin can no longer cover the blood vessels infected by overdose. He is so painful that he can only maintain his life by amputating his arm; the young and beautiful Marion could have opened a dress. Store, let his design talents be used, but because of drug addiction, he gave up his self-esteem, betrayed his body, and the ugliness could not be covered by heavy makeup; when he was a child, the mother’s soft words and warmth could not make Tyrone look back, and could only fall. Dream deeper, and finally have to spend a long life in prison.
I was splattered by the blood in the movie. Fortunately, these images shocked us, and the fear was because we had never experienced it. After watching a movie, maybe the power of drugs has made people afraid to approach, what about the addiction?
Sara, who was originally in a good mood while watching TV shows and tasting chocolate and butter bread, lost weight in order to be on TV, but was unable to control her appetite, so she started to swallow a lot of diet pills, and finally turned into hollow eyes, mental disorders, and even anorexia. The toxic ingredients in the diet pills made Sara susceptible to excitement, and her plump body became gradually thinner. She was finally able to put on the red skirt and fantasize about what she would look like on a TV show. But once the effect of the medicine weakened, it would make her uneasy. The food and the new TV could no longer satisfy her, so she swallowed a larger dose and became more and more numb. Until the central nervous system has been swallowed by the poison, the will is numb and uncontrollable, and the sleep cannot be awakened. The deeper the dream, the deeper the soul.
Desire is also addiction, and addiction is also poisonous.
There is one more thing worth mentioning about things like weight loss pills. I wanted to lose weight for a while, so I bought a Japanese weight-loss drug that is said to work well. This food is just like Sara when he eats it. At first, he feels very excited and in good spirits, but after two or three days, he starts to feel severely thirsty, blurred vision, rapid heartbeat, slow reaction, and uncontrollable movements. Until the evening of the sixth day of taking the medicine, I looked in the mirror and found that my pupils were dilated and my head was numb. Later, it became more and more serious, and my shoulders and arms began to be numb. Fortunately, the will is still sober, and I keep searching the Internet for possible ingredients in diet pills. It was discovered that something called "atropine" would be added to weight-loss drugs. Although it is not a drug, excessive accumulation of this ingredient in the body will cause symptoms of poisoning. The control of the central nervous system will change from excitement to inhibition, resulting in Mental disorder. In the middle of the night, I went to the hospital for an emergency department. A CT scan was taken to rule out other causes. It was confirmed that it was atropine poisoning. Then, I took salt water and drank plenty of water to expel the toxins. Since that experience, I don’t think I’ll ever touch weight-loss pills again.
If drug addiction is taboo, it is from heaven to hell. We are addicted to cigarettes, alcohol and even Internet, weight loss, plastic surgery, movie addiction, and writing addiction. All kinds of addictions are approaching and occupying life step by step. More and more people also prefer to sink into the illusion and escape from reality. But no one can cope with the virtual reality as quickly as the camera switch.
Summer is prosperous, autumn is fall, and winter is desperate. There is no spring in this story. There is no cold and cold desolation, but the sinking drug addiction and lost dreams still make people fall into a state of despair, unable to warm up, and difficult to control. You can choose to leave your soul in exile, but there is no guarantee that your life will remain safe and sound. The addiction that is promoted to escape reality will eventually be awakened by reality. Bacteria in the blood may be eliminated, but how to comfort the mutilation in the depths of the soul?
In the last scene, they curled up and returned to their original posture.
I wish we all have spring in our lives.
