Ang Lee has a leisurely control over the rhythm of the whole film, not irritable or procrastinated, not noisy or dull. The film found the best breakthrough point between commercial films and literary films. The film uses bright and gentle tones, soft and mysterious music, simple and clear stories, and faint philosophies to guide the audience to explore the profound meaning behind the story. At the end of the film, another version of Pai, who is in his prime, slowly comes to shipwreck. The animals that accompany him to cross the sea may be fairy tales that Pai can't face the dark side of human nature. The fantasy journey on the sea is as light as an untouchable. Touch the dream. Ang Lee and his production team have created a huge contrast between this warm-toned film and the dark human nature, and the addition of the soundtrack person Mike Donner has also added a lot to the film.
