Unexpected ending

It seems to be a very plain story. A middle-aged woman who was divorced and lives alone with her son. After losing her beloved daughter, she refused to ask the police to give herself an explanation. When she saw three billboards, she thought of a good way to use the billboards to pressure the police chief. During this process, she was under various pressures. The Director was not a bad person, and there was not much time left for terminally ill. His colleagues couldn't bear the hostess's behavior towards the Director and kept asking her for trouble. When the flames of anger engulfed the hostess, she set fire to the police station, but unexpectedly injured the former policeman who opposed her. I really found the murderer in the end, as in many stories, because the murderer showed off his self-exposure in the bar, but it turned out not to be. So the two opponents walked together and wanted to judge the person who committed the same evil for justice, but in the end, no one knew whether they would really kill him.
Warmth and kindness always come unexpectedly

Perhaps it is one of the highest scores this year. It feels like watching Hyman last year. People in this town feel that their brains are missing a string. Also known as "Three Letters from the Director"

The very poor quality of the movie [three billboards] proves that it is better for MacDonald to focus on writing dramas. The violence of Xianxuekou and the drama full of pathos are very strange. This is due to the rough rhythm of the film. The advantage of this author lies in reversing the suspense before the plot, and as a result, he seems to be in a hurry and has no goal here. The quality of the film was therefore lower than its subject matter, and the final open and heavy ending did not receive enough support.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri quotes

  • Willoughby: I got cancer. I'm dying.

    Mildred Hayes: I know it.

    Willoughby: Huh?

Mildred Hayes: I know it. Most everybody in town knows it.

Willoughby: [confused] And you still put up those billboards?

Mildred Hayes: Well, they wouldn't be as effective after you croak, right?

  • Geoffrey: Well, if it's wagging, it's gonna have to come out.

[He starts picking up the tools]

Mildred Hayes: Ain't you gonna take a look at it first?

Geoffrey: [looks for a second] It's gonna have to come out.
