I don’t want "survival", what I want is "life"

This is a movie released in 2008, a very prophetic movie. It tells the story of a lone robot cleaner on a depleted earth in the future. The earth in the movie is already a depleted, lifeless brown sphere thrown by people. There are no plants, no drinking water, no animals, even oxygen is thin, and they cannot sustain the survival of animals.
Our male protagonist (?) Wali is the last robot cleaner that mankind has forgotten on the earth, the only robot that survives on solar energy. He has lived alone on the earth for more than 700 years by himself. During these 700 years, his work has been to sort out garbage day after day and year after year. The high buildings that appeared on the camera at the beginning of the film are actually Wali’s garbage. Extruded into a cube and built up one by one, it was really shocking.

After Wali lived alone for more than 700 years, our heroine's strength value has exploded, another clean and beautiful robot detector-Eva appeared. Her mission is to come to the earth to detect the presence of plants or living bodies. Our elder dick ugly robot Wali fell in love with Eva Bai Fumi at first sight and shared with her all the collections of more than 700 years. The most important thing is to give Eva a plant seedling that he accidentally discovered. Therefore, Eva was recalled to the spacecraft after completing the mission. Our lovely warm boy Wali followed immediately.

The next movie shows us the atmosphere and space of the future. At that time, the space and the atmosphere were also garbage dumps, and there were densely packed space junk—abandoned satellite detectors. After arriving at the super space carrier where humans live, everything seems to be peaceful and peaceful. However, it is extremely scary to think carefully. The time of human eating, drinking, washing, changing clothes, the sun rises from the east and the west sets, and the passage of time is actually set by humans and can only be controlled by robots. All human beings have put on clothes, stretched out their hands to eat, and sat down with their backs falling down and relying on robots to help them. They have no thoughts, needs, dreams, and lives! They live in order to survive. The long-term life in space has caused them to lose their bones and become obese, making them unable to stand up and walking, and live like a vegetable.
The plant seedlings that Wali gave to Eva was an opportunity. By accident, the human leadership re-acquainted the once-dying blue planet Earth. At that time, the human beings were in various forms and wonderful appearances. Finally realized the urgency of going home again. Fortunately, it is not too late to make up for it. In the struggle of mankind, everyone has returned to their hometown-the earth, determined to rebuild a beautiful home! Just like the movie said I don’t want to "survive", what I want is "life"!

The whole movie uses Wali and Eva's touching love as clues to show people the terrible future of the earth and mankind! It is full of warnings, but because of the warm love as a clue, such warnings and education seem natural and not objectionable!

There are so many small ironic details before and after the movie, which makes people dumbfounding. For example, Wali picked up a velvet box with an oversized diamond ring, and he threw the diamond ring and left the box.
For example, comparing the photos from the first-generation captains to the n-generation captains, we can see that humans are getting fatter and less energetic, and each captain is accompanied by the robot chief helmsman. It turned out that the helmsman who really controlled the operation of the mothership was not the nominal human captain, and the human captain gradually became a puppet!
There are also the humans in the mothership. Everyone lives on a chair. The video images in front of them are always conversational videos. Everyone is a video clan. They are in video all the time. The only joy of living is that human beings live. Video chat, regardless of the passers-by coming and going around, will always live in the virtual world. Does this place mean 10 years after the movie’s release, the now-born low-headed race? People are surfing the Internet with their mobile phones. . The filmmakers are really too forward-looking, I can't admire it! Wait, so many ironic details are really awesome! !
This is a fairy tale love story, and also a thrilling awakening motto, admonishing people to love the environment and the earth, and admonishing people to be careful not to rely too much on machines and so on. This is a movie that is very thoughtful and terrifying. It's great! !

The romance is messed up, like a flower blooming in the ruins, like a walk in the afternoon holding hands, like all the great love in the world.

WALL·E quotes

  • Mary: [Mary is looking at the stars outside the Axiom while other passengers pass idly by] Oh! So many stars! Ah.

[she sees WALL-E and EVE flying around outside]

    Mary: Oh! Hey! That's what's-his-name!

    [backs up, bumps into John]

    John: Hey! What the-?

    Mary: Look! Look, look, look!

[she shuts off his chair and screen, making him aware of his surroundings]

    John: Huh? What?

    [sees WALL-E and EVE]

John: Hey... I know that guy! It's uh, uh... WALL-E! That's it! Hey - WALL-E! It's your buddy John!

    Mary: [simultaneously] Hey! Hi, WALL-E!

[John casually puts his right hand upon Mary's]

John: [looks down, somewhat surprised; looks up at Mary, smiles] Hi.

    Mary: [smiles] Hi.

  • Shelby Forthright, BnL CEO: [Shelby appears onscreen in an old classified recorded message] Hey there, autopilots. Got some bad news. Um... Operation Cleanup has, well uh, failed. Wouldn't you know, rising toxicity levels have made life unsustainable on Earth.

Captain: [to himself, looking at healthy plant] Unsustainable? What?

Shelby Forthright, BnL CEO: Darn it all, we're gonna have to cancel Operation Recolonize. So uh, just stay the course, um... Rather than try and fix this problem, it'll just be easier for everyone to remain in space.

    Captain: "Easier"?

Shelby's advisor: Mr. President, sir. Sir! Time to go.

Shelby Forthright, BnL CEO: [overlapping] Uh, I think - huh? Okay, I'm giving override, uh, Directive A113. Go to full autopilot. Take control of everything, and do not return to Earth. I repeat, do not return to Earth.

[puts on his gas mask and starts to leave]

Shelby Forthright, BnL CEO: Let's get the heck outta here.
