What makes people sad is that under the cover of calm, the torture of human nature is more terrifying than the battlefield. He didn't fall on the battlefield in the end, but the gun of the person he wanted to save.
I think he has no regrets. Every time he returns to the battlefield, he should have thought about the scene of his fall. At that time, he had no regrets. Leaving the battlefield, he continued to do what he wanted to do. It may seem safer than the battlefield, but he did it. He has never compromised, sticking to his beliefs and perseverance.
