As a fan of Star Wars movies, this series is of great significance to me. During the low period of my university for a long time, it was my spiritual pillar. So you can imagine how excited I was when I learned that this series was about to restart, and I could guess how disappointed I was with Star Wars 7. And after watching this last Jedi, I firmly believe that restarting Star Wars may be one of the biggest mistakes in movie history.
Personally, I am not a fan of Star Wars, but a fan of Star Wars movies. I haven't gotten too involved in novel animation games. I only have some superficial understanding. For many Star Wars fans, every type of Stormtrooper, TIE fighter, and robot can be distinguished. And I don't care about these at all. I was moved by Star Wars because of the Jedi spirit and the beautiful lightsaber, but the combined pleasure of Star Wars 7 and 8 is not as good as the last-minute scene in "Rogue One".
Let me praise the advantages of this movie first, and I'm afraid I won't be in the mood to talk about it later. In terms of visual effects, I don’t have to say, the industry’s top level. The air combat at the beginning of the film was well shot, and the visual effects of the final battle were also great. The white and red colors set off the atmosphere of the entire battlefield very well but not bloody. The silent visual effects of the space jump bomber are also very shocking. Kailoren's performance is much better than the previous one. The last ten minutes of the film were pretty good. When Luke turned his back to a row of AT-AT troops, the last looking up under the sunset made the camera so beautiful that it was suffocating. And the force awakening of that little boy.
OK, this is all my compliments for Star Wars 8, nothing more. The next step is to complain. I put the part of Luke last, this is simply a catastrophic figure trampling in movie history.
The whole film made me feel that I was not watching Star Wars. I already said this sentence in Star Wars 7. This is a Disney film, pursuing a comical comic book like the Marvel movie.
What is going on in the plot, let’s not talk about other things, just follow your own statement. The last one said that Luke left the coordinates in R2D2. Rey went to him and hoped that he would guide himself with a strong force. Hope to save the rebels and defeat the First Order Legion, right?
In this movie, Lu Ke clearly wanted to wait for death on the island, so why did he leave the coordinates? And Rey didn't receive much guidance from Luke when he came here. After a few words of remote chat with Kailuoren, she dropped her IQ and went to Qianli to send her to Qianli, just to let Kailuoran get lost and take such a big risk. And it doesn't matter if he is lost, he can't beat you in the first movie, eldest sister, and he is not the boss in the first order.
Speaking of this, the screenwriter is probably aware of it, so immediately write the boss Snook to death. This ultimate boss can use the Force remotely. After the rebels have defeated the empire, the boss who has quickly risen to rule the universe is like a fool. Was cut in half. Have you ever mentioned the origin of this big boss in the movie? Have you said why he is so powerful? Have you said why the Rebels were quickly crushed by the First Order after they defeated the empire? Nothing, and then this legendary character died like this, perhaps the most aggrieved villain in Star Wars, just to make this new generation of black warriors who are struggling to fight the Imperial Guard to be on top.
The film is divided into three lines. Among them, the black scenes can be said to be useless. It doesn't matter if you delete all of them. I really have seen enough for political correctness to make a black and Asian in Star Wars longer than the protagonist. There is no Jedi spirit in the whole film, no light saber duel and epic storyline, but so many useless things are stuffed in. The strategy of the Rebels and the First Order is also incomprehensible. The First Order can clearly destroy the Rebels immediately. Since the Rebels have space to jump and lethality, they should have abandoned the ship long ago. But when I saw Princess Leia using the Force to navigate back to the capsule in space, I was relieved, too lazy to explain, what on earth am I looking at.
I personally like the fancy lightsaber fight in the prequel, I think it's cool. But the prequel was looked down upon by fans of the original, so the realistic lightsaber slashing in the originals used in both 7 and 8 made me very upset. I even disliked the prequel so that even Yoda used the image of a puppet. But I always felt that the main story was not so fancy because of technical reasons, otherwise Lucas would not use lightsaber like this in the prequel.
Okay, let's talk about my poor Luke last. Luke’s actor said before the film was released that he had reservations about the change in Luke’s image. I think he must have scolded his mother many times in his heart.
Luke Skywalker, a symbol of the times, a righteous, kind and brave spokesperson, and a walking image of Gao Daquan, without him the entire Star Wars story no longer exists. Compared to Luke’s positive image, I like Obi-Wan and Anakin better, but it is Luke’s obsession with justice, who has never been attracted by the dark side, and his determination to never give up to friends and relatives that make him complete The last and most important part of the fable has become a legend.
Let's take a look at what Luke did in this movie. Because he saw that his nephew had a tendency to throw himself into the dark side, he wanted to take him to sleep and kill him, but his nephew turned to the dark side because of this backlash. Later, his nephew destroyed his Jedi Temple and joined the First Order. Luke did not think about saving him. He threw his comrade-in-arms sister and friends aside, and hid himself on the island to wait for his death. When Rey came to the door, he lost his ancestral lightsaber and ignored the universe that countless people had spent their lives in exchange for. Is this the Jedi Master we know, he used to hope to save Darth Vader who had fallen deepest into the dark side, but now he wants to kill him because his nephew is inclined? I don't recognize Luke like this. He is the only descendant of the Jedi, the most noble one among the Jedi Knights, none of them.
JJ Abrams just killed Han Solo, and Ryan Johnson used Luke to ruin the entire Jedi spirit. When Rey is gone, what Luke is going to do, go to destroy the Jedi Book, he said that the Force is everyone’s and not Jedi’s unique, this is to ambush the last scene of the film, but Jedi’s existence is not to guide these Those who are sensitive to the Force? If Obi-Wan hadn't found Anakin, the Force would not return to balance in the end.
Luke's image is not like a master, more like a coward. Luke Skywalker is a coward, and this sentence is a sick sentence everywhere. Yoda appeared at this time, dare your heroic spirits have not come out to help Luke for so many years, just watch him destroy like this. Luke finally woke up, but he did not save Rey in distress, the last flame of the Jedi, if it weren't for Kyloren, Rey would have died. What did he do? He went to the final battlefield with a fantasy clone. He didn't use his real body to help the rebels, just to let the rebels escape, and he didn't tell the rebels that the rebels guessed it.
I admit that it was a good shot in the last ten minutes, but only because Luke came out and faced an entire ATAT army. There was no lightsaber duel as imagined. After Luke used the shadow clone to force him, he did not see the lightsaber duel that had been waiting for so many years. Why "Rogue One" has a good reputation, because of the appearance of the black warrior and the lightsaber slaughter in just a few tens of seconds. If the last person driving the Millennium Falcon to destroy the spacecraft was not Rey, it was Luke, who was one of the best pilots in the universe, came to rescue the rebels, and finally faced off with the lightsaber of Kyloren. I think the ratings of the fans would be much higher. We need this kind of feelings, not one by one.
I thought I had to fight at least once, and then became a heroic spirit like the old Obi-Wan did. As a result, Luke didn’t leave the island until he died. He died after using the phantom...Why did he die? It is also not clear that he hadn't shown it before, and an illusion would not consume his life. Since he was about to die, why didn't he go out and help the rebels directly. Of course, the answer given by the film is that he can inspire more people in this way, and spread the flames of the Force to the universe. If it is the real body, the legend of resisting gunfire would not exist. If you want to achieve your goal in this way, what is the difference between you Luke and Tai Chi Master Yan Fang... After
talking so much, I don’t want to complain anymore. I didn’t expect to see Luke’s story end like this in my lifetime, of course he did There must be a scene behind the heroic spirit. It’s lucky to see him and Princess Leia (RIP) appearing in Star Wars for the last time as a fan, but I really don’t want to see it in this way.
In the end, Luke looked up at the sunset lens. I was very touched. After such a legendary life, he saw the sunset on the planet that resembled his hometown Tatooine, and his eyes were full of lightsabers that Obi-Wan handed him decades ago. That afternoon, the legend and name of Skywalker ended at this moment forever.
Finally, Fuck Disney, Fcuk JJ Abrams, Fcuk Rian Johnson...
