The longer a person wears a mask, the more the mask can be integrated with the original real face, which is indistinguishable. In the future, he would have difficulty distinguishing what his real face is and what the fake mask he was forced to or voluntarily put on. And this mask is often put on due to the high pressure of modern society. Under this mask, he forced himself to forget and deny many emotions that he originally had, and so on. Just like the protagonist in the film, he forces himself to forget and deny the people he loves; the emotions and sorrows in his heart; the touch and happiness that he should have. How similar is this to the real situation! Only at certain times would he feel surprised: it seemed that what he was doing was a drama that others were playing in front of him, real and absurd. Or when he is doing something, he vaguely feels absurd: "Why do I do this? It is too stupid"; or in a dream, at this moment when the subconscious is least bound by restrictions, his dream is finally revealed Real thoughts... This is a resistance of the inner real self to the masked self. This kind of resistance is expressed in an extremely exaggerated form in Fight Club. In fact, everyone has another self in their hearts: his performance is completely different from the self in daily life, sometimes even as two people, but not as extreme as in the film.
