The protagonist of the story, RON, is truly dilapidated. He lives on horse racing all day long. He drank all day long for pleasure and became addicted to drugs and contracted AIDS. Such a character is indeed so dirty that people hate and hate him, and he knew something during his treatment. Transvestite gay Rayon is even worse. However, these two living in the dark, bearing the unbearable weight of life, still show us the rarity, persistence and belief that human beings are on the verge of death.

Sometimes I just feel like I'm fighting for a life I just ain't got time to live. I want it to mean something.

    Dr. Eve Saks: It does.
