When I exposed my heart layer by layer to you like peeling an onion, I shed tears because of your willful pain. In the film, Shrek is a monster who uses earwax as a candle, is lonely, and has a weird temper. But no matter how weird people are, there are nemesis. Princess Ofina is Shrek’s Ms right. She opened Shrek’s heart and made him accept it. The first friend-the cute donkey, but also made him brain-wrenching and deeply hurt.
One day the swamp where Shrek lived was broken into tranquility. The reason was that King Fugua expelled the characters in the fairy tale world and wanted to become a true king. But Shrek accidentally hit and ran into the hero who saved the princess, and the two had a good impression of each other during their journey to Duroc. The story will not be like a fairy tale with heroes and beautiful women. The film is more like an adult fairy tale. The rescue of Princess Ofina was originally a deal between King Pugu and Shrek. Shrek was responsible for rescuing the princess, and King Pugu was responsible here. Afterwards, he recalled the characters from the fairy tale kingdom who had been expelled to the swamp, and returned Shrek to clean up. But the deeper conspiracy and misfortune is that King Pugu is short, and he married Princess Ofina for the throne. Fortunately, an unfortunate life always gives people extra blessings. Although it is not perfect, Shrek the monster is Ofina's true love.
Everyone has their own secrets. When Princess Ofina will become a monster like Shrek in the evening, the secret is revealed to everyone. She is still the most beautiful in Shrek's eyes and his favorite, but King Fugua hates the change. Ugly princess, but for the throne, she still wants to maintain the marriage relationship with the princess.
The ending of the story is of course that Shrek and Ofina came together, but Ofina did not become beautiful forever like the inherent pattern of fairy tales, but forever became a monster like Shrek, as predicted in the movie. Looks like true love. The plot of the film is simple, but it is not out of the ordinary, refreshing, and it arouses us to think deeply-everyone will change themselves for love. Beauty is not eternal. When we grow old and become ugly together, love makes us eternal.
