Some people say that life without watching "Shawshank's Redemption" is incomplete. I think only those who have read it carefully understand this sentence.
Everyone's attachments and feelings are different. About hope, about value, about perseverance, I am more impressed.
Andy, a young and accomplished banker, went to jail on suspicion of killing his wife and her lover. Coming to Shawshank’s prison, hope seems illusory, and the punishment of life imprisonment is undoubtedly doomed to Andy's gloomy and desperate life. After getting acquainted with Rhett, Andy gradually became familiar with him. Andy slowly found his own way to survive in the jail of mixed fish and dragons, guilt and black and white. He used his professional knowledge to help prison management to evade taxes and launder money. At the same time, he gradually received courtesy among the prisoners by virtue of his interaction with Reid... In the end, because of his desire for freedom, he spent 19 years in Shawshank. He finally ran towards the life he yearned for.
First of all, what makes me feel more deeply about the movie is hope. The people in Shawshank have stayed longer. People have adapted to life in prison day after day, year after year, and most of them have been "institutionalized." When the old man who distributed the books was released from prison, he could no longer adapt to life outside. With the rapid changes, the life that has been moving forward, for him, is probably more sad than being in prison. Because he can't find his own value, an old man is helpless, for the fast-paced country of the United States, he has no meaning or value. So, in the end he chose to leave this world. Only one sentence "I've been here." I think it might be the best choice and result to let him stay in jail for his whole life and send books to everyone every day. Because there, he can also find the value and function of his own existence.
About value. It is gold, it can shine no matter where it is, and you can live well. Andy is just such a person. In the prison named Shawshank, he lived well from not saying a word at the beginning to working for the people's welfare in the prison. This process fully reflects his value, no matter where you are, the books you have read and the knowledge you have learned have a place. He used his professional knowledge to help the warden laundering money, and on this condition, he provided many benefits to the prison. Therefore, a person's value will not change because of your situation.
About perseverance. Andy went to jail from the beginning to escape after nineteen years. In nineteen years, he used a hammer, year after year, day after day. No one would have thought that he would persist for so long. He actually did it. And he wrote to the government. For five years, there was a letter every day, but there was no response in the middle, and he didn't even give up. Finally succeeded
I think that as long as there is hope, it is self-salvation. Each of us is in self-salvation, redeeming throughout our lives.
Shawshank's film has too many touches. At different stages of life, there must be different feelings.
