As the opening film of a film festival, it basically plays the role of warming up the audience for the host, and at the same time, it should not be too dazzling and profound, so as not to steal the limelight of the films that rushed to the Palme d’Or. Flying House Travels perfectly fulfilled its mission. After the screening, the film received enthusiastic applause. The wonderful 3D effects and childlike spoof lines and plots gave the audience an excellent viewing experience. Pixar’s usual warmth also moved many reporters to tears.

Russell: [behind Carl, obviously distracted, looking down] Sand.

Carl Fredricksen: ...we're not getting to the falls.

    Russell: I found sand!

Carl Fredricksen: [looks up at his house, through a window, to where a picture of old Ellie hangs on the wall] Don't you worry, Ellie. We'll get our house over there.
