Watching the movie in the Alabama state capital of deep south was a very strange experience - more than 90% of the audience were black, the laughter was very different from the white people in the east, and at the end the police car got off the applause and cheers of the black brothers. People feel really sorry for them: the justice system has failed them too many times. The metaphor of deer and black people at the beginning of the film runs through the film.
