"The gold coins are not rusty, and the greedy eyes are polished into pearls"
The beginning of the killing is ambition, and the end of the battle is desire.
Oppression and resistance, revenge and destruction, the endless cycle of human civilization. I think Star Wars also told such a story. When the battlefield expands from the Pacific Ocean to the entire galaxy, when it is not only humans who are involved in the killing, will the outcome change? Will not. What defeats you is not your arrogance and negligence, but ambition.
Makino Long Bridge, Gai Xia Chibi.
Troy Lamia, Kosovo Waterloo.
History records the blades of winners and the heads of losers.
In the movie, the Empire develops star dust that can destroy everything in order to control the galaxy. The insurgents searched for loopholes in the reactor in order to subvert the empire. The original intention was ambition. The sacrifices of the heroes and heroines, or the sacrifices of all people, are nothing but a trivial explanation of these ambitions.
History has never changed. Human nature is too.
There has never been a selfless devotee, and there has never been an unbreakable truth. There has never been a holy and great crown, and there has never been a convincing trust.
There are heroes in the movie. But in reality there is no.
Self-salvation.
Going back to the movie itself, if you are like me, like to see things ruined and broken, like to appreciate falling apart, you will like this movie.
