But I want to talk about the style of this play. The Internet puzzle-solving, guessing, and analysis of major website updates in each episode (Forbes has come to mix it) caused by this drama, this phenomenon is not only unprecedented, it can also be said to be very uncommon. It's not about humans and AI that are discussed a lot, but the guesses about the plot. There are several timelines, who is man in black, who is wyatt, who is arnold, and who is robot. The last time I saw this activity of squeezing the screen frame by frame to find clues had to be traced back to TDK.
For me, the most addictive thing every week is the confirmation of my own observation and analysis. In fact, the first thing I thought about the style of this play was Memento (memory fragments) and The Prestige (fatal magic). The Nolan Brothers always like to use the timeline to create the fun of watching movies. Memento uses black and white to show the timeline, and the prestige hides it more secretly. In Westworld, apart from clothing and props, the background also needs a bit of logic to see the timeline difference. Once you notice the difference, you can see it clearly when you go back and look at the previous episodes. This was also when I posted speculations about Arnold in my circle of friends at the time when my classmate did not believe him, and he was convinced when the answer was clearly given two weeks later. In fact, once watching a TV show has such discussions on various social platforms and has a sense of participation, it is easy to become addicted.
The premiere of this show coincided with my final exam. Watching me while reviewing is also muffled to death. Fortunately, nothing went wrong.
