War movies are almost the only type of movie I don’t like. I might have watched it with my dad when I was a kid, and I think why the star of a movie must be based on the death of so many people. (Now I know what is a real war movie and real war)
A few days ago, by chance, I watched Billy Lynn in order to accompany my friends. In fact, I didn't want to watch it, but it opened my interest in war films and suddenly made me want to know more about the heart of warriors. What do they think and do on the battlefield, other times? I suddenly wanted to explore this life very far away from me (of course I still hope that he will always be very far away from me).
Saving Private Ryan, many film reviews have written very well about the setting of his own role, and I don't want to comment one by one. I have always admired the sniper, so I will pay more attention to it. It may be because of my weakness and skillfulness. I feel that the sniper can be farther away from the enemy and can also play a big role through technology. The sniper Jackson did not live up to my expectations. His sacrifice was expected, but he still couldn't restrain the sadness.
Since two or three years ago, I may have watched too many movies, and I am very accurate about when certain characters will be scheduled to die. Of course, this accuracy does not relieve me of the sadness of these characters dying. This is a deepening. Understand the emotional connection that a person produces afterwards. This kind of emotional connection has almost the most important impact on life and choices. Lynn chose to continue to the battlefield where the squad leader sacrificed; Captain Miller cried bitterly after Wade’s death; for the enemy who did not know each other, They can kill very cruelly; before they met Ryan, they didn't care about him, and even hoped that he was dead; after knowing Ryan, despite the sacrifices of his comrades, the surviving Lebin was no longer angry with Ryan.
This reminds me of Milgram’s experiment. Milgram arranged a controversial experiment in order to explore "Why did a massacre happen?" In this experiment, some people were arranged to be punished. They received an order to punish the punished. The punishment was electric shocks. If the punished did not complete the task, they were given electric shocks. In Milgram’s first experiment, 40 men participated as subjects. Among them, 26 have been increasing the voltage to the highest level. After 21 electric shocks, the punished person fell into complete silence. However, 65% of punishers still acted in accordance with the instructions. Even after the punished did not respond at all, they still delivered 9 electric shocks. None of the 14 test subjects who did not keep doing the last requested that the experiment be stopped midway, and none of them even checked the victim’s condition without requesting permission (of course, the punished subjects of this experiment were just recordings, and no real people were subjected to it. electric shock).
This experiment says that people have solidified respect for the rules in their hearts. What I see is the indifference of human beings towards strangers, that is, people who have no emotional connection. I believe that if the object of the electric shock is a familiar person, then the performance of the punisher will definitely be very different. Perhaps not everyone has the same degree of indifference. For example, Miller chose to let go of the enemy soldiers who killed Wade (I believe he was abiding by the rules of not killing prisoners, but also because of this). Ben has been arguing for the enemy soldier (we will analyze this later). The indifference to strangers is what we call kindness. This is easier to do in peaceful times because you don't need to pay too much self-interest and emotion. In the war years, all the bottom lines are constantly being challenged, and their consciousness is constantly being refreshed. Some people see more numbness and indifference, and they become so; while others may become deeper and calmer. Guarding his own piece of pure land. Captain Miller made the right choice, but it was really said that the enemy soldier rejoined the army, and... But Miller should not regret his choice, and still leave his pure land safely. .
I have to say that the role of Urban is too important. After reading a few film reviews, everyone was not calling him timid and weak, but felt that Urban was a portrayal of ordinary people like himself. In that situation, can you stand up bravely? Asking this question countless times may not have an answer. At the moment of life and death, even if you know what the right choice is, you may not be able to do it, even if you may regret what you did later. What I want to say is that Urban’s attitude to confronting enemy soldiers who killed his comrades twice, the first time was after Wade’s death, he tried his best to excuse this enemy soldier; the second time was after Miller’s death, He saw the same person but shot him to death without hesitation. I think this is because, on the one hand, his emotional connection with Miller is deeper than with Wade, and on the other hand, his consciousness has changed after the cruelty of the war, and this change is also caused by his emotional connection with his comrades. Yes, the deeper the positive emotional connection, the deeper the negative emotional connection (such as revenge).
The final conclusion is really sad, because it is impossible to have a positive emotional connection with everyone. Everyone has different behaviors and reactions because of the same emotional connection. Therefore, once a war occurs, it is inevitable that a large-scale brutal massacre will be unavoidable; Even the conflicts between people in the society of peaceful times are difficult to quell. Once again, I don’t want to be truly close to this kind of life. It’s not purely because of fear of death. Death is really a way of liberation. What’s more afraid is to see how people around you behave in war. Maybe that’s what human beings really look like. , But because there is always a glimmer of hope, this hope may bring even more sorrow and despair.
Is it too negative? There are also positive ones. Think about these people on the battlefield. There is nothing in your life that can be called painful. Live peacefully and cherish every day.
