The director's choice is destined to be bad for the plot

I still remember the excitement before watching "Watchmen" and the disappointment after watching it. After watching the BVS premiere this morning, this mood was infinitely magnified. In fact, Zach Xinde did not make any good movies after his famous work "300 Warriors", and the highlight of "300 Warriors" is also beautiful pictures and action scenes, the plot is equivalent to playing from beginning to end. Therefore, I don’t know how Xinde, a pure action film director who has never produced a good plot, impresses Warner and DC to direct BVS (maybe the investor does not have such high expectations and only wants to make a Transformers-like film Popcorn blockbuster?), but it’s already expected that you don’t have to look forward to the plot too much, just watch the excitement. However, even with such psychological preparation, the seriousness of this film's plot out of control is unexpected.

Loss of control comes from the ambition of the director. In fact, if Sind has experienced the complete failure of "Watchmen" and "Pretty Girl Strike Force" and the second half of "Man of Steel" after being criticized by others, if he can realize that he does not have the ability to control the drama, then Maybe it's not like this. What can be seen in the two-and-a-half-hour film is the director's efforts to imitate the dark wind of "The Dark Knight" and the in-depth discussion of the inner contradictions of the superhero. However, due to lack of skill, the director presented us with a groan of disease-free throughout the story, a weak and tangled Superman, and a violent and irrational Batman.

Okay, let's stop here for my personal feelings without arguments. The following will focus on some of the flaws that caused me to be so disappointed with this film.

(Including spoilers)

1. The cause and effect of the Superman Batman War
As the opening chapter of the DC movie world, one of the highlights of BVS is why the two superheroes fought each other, and how it ended in the end.

Let's talk about the cause first. Mr. Sind spent more than an hour in the film to pave the way for the contradiction between Batman and Superman. In an hour, apart from the rescue of Son of Wayne at the beginning, the only action scene turned out to be an inexplicable dream! Yes, as an action blockbuster, there is basically no action scene for more than an hour after the opening! Moreover, the continuity of the drama in this hour is really bad. It feels like several unrelated stories are broken up and then spliced together. There seems to be no connection between the narratives in several aspects. After watching for more than an hour, the amount of information we have obtained is that Batman clearly doesn't like Superman, Superman doesn't seem to like Batman very much, and the long-haired neurotic seems to be a bad person. I don't know what's wrong, no more. There are many narratives but no control ability, which makes this hour more like a deliberate use of trivial things to cultivate the anger value of the two, and I really, really, really did not find the main story.

Let's focus here on Batman's hatred of Superman. By the way, Batman hates Superman in three steps. In the first step, Superman and General Zode fought, causing many innocent deaths and injuries. This is somewhat understandable. Innocent people are indeed implicated, but I just want to say that as a superhero who punishes evil and promotes good, son Wayne, can you have the consciousness that Superman will destroy the world if you don’t work with Zudd? The second step, dream. Son of Wayne had two inexplicable dreams. One was in front of his parents' grave. Suddenly a big monster exploded from the grave, which shocked the audience. The second is Batman's deal in Africa, and then suddenly a group of bad guys came to do it, and then more and more bad guys, and then the aliens came out and caught Batman, and then Superman came in and killed him. When he woke up from this dream, Son of Wayne immediately went to grab the kryptonite. I just want to say, son Wayne, are you too delusional about persecution? What the hell did Superman do to you? ? Is it just because you dreamed that someone killed you? Can you have a refreshing breast? Let's talk more about these two dreams. The insertion is really far-fetched. It seems that the first hour is too boring. I want the audience to look at the horror and action elements, but the blunt addition really makes the audience feel that His IQ was insulted. My personal feeling, coupled with the illusion that Superman saw his dad later, was the biggest flaw in this film. In the final step, the hearing exploded. The explosion planned by Luther brought Batman's hatred of Superman to the culmination. It’s understandable if Batman thinks that Superman bombed the hearing and treated him as a murderer, but after bombing the TV report, it was said that the lame bombed him. The lame man is still your employee. Why do you hate Superman? Woolen cloth? ? Some people here say that Batman is not a personal grudge against Superman, but that Superman should be restrained and supervised. So why did he want to stab Superman to death after the war? Can't you maimed him? So in view of the above three reasons, Batman hates Superman to the bone and wants to put Superman to death. It is unreasonable for everyone to judge.

Okay, let's briefly talk about how they turned their fighting into jade. Uh, how should I put it, it seems because their mothers have the same name! Can you think of it! ? Before Batman wanted to kill Superman, Superman called his mother's name. Batman asked why you mentioned my mother's name and then Superman's girlfriend came in and said that because it was his mother's name, his mother was kidnapped now. Then Batman immediately calmed down and wanted to help Superman save his mother. I'm drunk, Batman, are you a teenager this year? It can only be said that compared with Nolan's version of Batman's calmness, tolerance, and overall focus, this version of Batman is a bit too arbitrary. I hate them even more when I have a dream, because my mother has the same name and immediately fell in love with them. How did you become a superhero in such a sentimental way? If Superman’s mother didn’t call her this name, would you kill someone else? In the future, when the bad people see Batman, please tell me that his mother is also called Martha, and he might help you transport drugs.

2. When the inexplicable villain
was watching this movie, I asked my companion more than once, why is this villain committing a crime? What are the benefits? I didn't understand until the end of the film. What kind of motive was for a billionaire to take the risk of giving up his superior life, to provoke and fight against two superheroes? ?

In fact, most of the ultimate goals of the villains in movies are two, one is money, the other is to conquer the world, and the third is revenge. Luther has no shortage of money. Conquer the world? In this movie, there is no mention of killing Superman and Batman. He can dominate the world in some way? To put it bluntly, both of them are dead, and you Luthor won't get anything! And revenge is even more non-existent. So why on earth? ?

Okay, maybe the director wanted to portray him into a pervert like the clown in "The Dark Knight", who fears that the world will not be chaotic, a bad person purely for the sake of badness. But I just want to say, Luther, you are too far away from the clown, except for some obscure and incomprehensible mouths, you don't have any skill packs. It feels more neurotic and naive, rather than abnormal and vicious. So the audience thinks he is ridiculous more than hateful. Such a villain, for some unknown purpose, is really unacceptable to play around with the two most popular superheroes in the world.

3. When the tasteless Wonder Woman
trailer first came out, the appearance of WW made a lot of fans of the original work shine. In fact, the influence of WW in the feature film is not much different from the few seconds in the trailer.

In this film, WW probably stole Wayne’s things and then came back. Later Wayne found out her true identity, she wanted to run, but the ultimate boss showed up to help Superman and Batman. How is it, are you familiar with it? Is it a bit of Catwoman in "The Dark Knight Rises"? But compared to Catwoman, the director of this film is reluctant to use a little energy to portray Wonder Woman.

In this film, Wonder Woman stole Wayne's equipment and returned it, saying three or five lines. Later, I realized that my identity was exposed, and I made a few surprised expressions after watching a few videos of other heroes. Then put on the uniform to help them fight the boss. Nope, it's really just that part of the scene, I'm not exaggerating at all. As the third superhero to appear in the series, can you give me some minimum respect? Look at the Hulk in the Women's Federation. Although there is no independent film, it is also the most brilliant one portrayed in the group drama. The Catwoman just compared has also given so many complicated psychological struggles and changes in the role of good and evil. But our Wonder Woman is a pure passerby in the film. You don’t know her past or why she stood up. You only know that she is older than normal, and she suddenly came out to help fight the boss. It’s pretty good. Fierce (stronger than Batman). Alas, this combat power is totally inconsistent with the importance of the role!

4. Slow motion and soundtrack
Friends who have watched the movie directed by Sind must know that this buddy is obsessed with the application of slow motion. In this film, I think it is a bit inexplicable. Superman saves people or something. I can endure it in slow motion, but why does Wayne have to slow motion when he walks a few steps to his parents’ grave? I don’t feel that there are so many slow motions. It is estimated that the length of the film can be reduced by half an hour. Luthor usually takes a few steps to make a slow-motion walk for ten seconds.

Let's talk about the soundtrack. The director gave me the feeling that it was so easy to invite Hans Zimmer, and it must be used to death! The whole story gives a majestic soundtrack to labor and capital! So as long as there is a little ups and downs in the plot, it must be accompanied by music and drumming. What impressed me the most was that the Batman car was almost scrapped and ran home, and he also had to sound the majestic soundtrack, why bother?

Slow motion and soundtrack, when used well, can play a finishing touch to a movie. For example, the beautiful slow motion of the heroes fighting Ultron at the end of the Women's League II, and the heroic soundtrack during the final round and docking of "Interstellar". The slow motion of the same superhero and the soundtrack of Jimo, how can the gap be so big after being used up by Director Sind? Can't you be a little restrained? After watching it, I feel that the whole movie is full of long slow motion and noisy soundtracks, and the visual and auditory senses are extremely tired.

Well, today's complaints will almost end here. Finally express my personal opinion. Under the premise that the start is already seriously late than the Marvel world, BVS is filmed like this, and the gap between DC movies and Marvel may be even greater. Fortunately, the fan base of the DC original is still very large, and the popularity of Superman and Batman will not be exhausted because of a failed movie. If you want to wrestle with Marvel, the next step in DC movies needs to be changed. Or change to a director who can tell a story. If Sind continues to guide, then it’s better to learn from "Transformers" and make a good-looking pure popcorn action movie. Let fans watch the heroes they like, just stop playing. This kind of storytelling is something that doesn't understand and sacrifices the length of the action scene. It can't hurt.
